Thought I'd post some pix of a one-of-a-kind Fellini case I acquired about 10 years ago.
If anyone knows how to contact Bob Hempel I'd appreciate any info, particularly an email address. I don't know if he reads this forum, but Bob if you are out there I'd like your input on this case. I'd much rather have on original and know the mods done on this case severely lessen its value but there's no way I could pass up the deal I got on this one.
Bob may know of this case, since it likely never left the Austin area. I've never heard of anyone doing a wooden Fellini like this, so for that reason alone he may know about it. The wood is actually very pretty, but there are some obvious flaws in the craftsmanship (or maybe it's just the age of the case). As I stated earlier, I'd definitely rather have a genuine leather case from Bob than this one.
I've thought about putting this case up for sale as I could use the money, but I also know that I may never be able to afford another Fellini again.
Again, any contact info on Bob would be appreciated. I haven't spoken with him in over 10 years, back when I used to play in a straight pool league in Austin with him and Belinda Bearden (Campos/Calhoun). I'd like to see him again and maybe shoot some.
I apologize for the quality of the pix. All I had to shoot them with was a cell phone camera. Hard to see, but the interior does have the 'Fellini - 6700 Duquesne - Austin, Texas' patch.
