Bob does nice work. He has a great web site showing how a cue is cunstructed. It would be nice if you continued to show pictures of this cues progress. I think this cue will have your desired effect when he installs the points.

thanks for sharing, Jim.

I will continue to show progress pics as he sends them. This pic can also be seen on his site under the page work in progress. His site is amazing. I can't help but to visit it at least a couple of times a week. The videos are awesome. What a great guy. Thanks for your opinion and rep for you sir!!

No comments? Aww c'mon guys. What do ya think?

Well, you can't tell a whole lot from that pic you have posted, but knowing the kind of work he has put out, I'm sure you'll like it. Congrats on your new custom cue pick-up :D

Awesome cue

Congrats on choosing Bob to make your cue. He's a great guy to work with and makes a fine cue. I've had Bob make a cue for me and I can tell you, you will be very happy. Good choice with the Brazilian. It hits nice. When this cue is put together your gonna have a looker and a player.

THanks dukeboy. I have read a lot and seen a lot of his work. I'm glad I chose him to do it. He is really great price wise and everybody has had nothing but good to say when speaking about him.

Nice cue in progress but that wood REALLY looks like E. indian rosewood...

I supplied Mr. Dzuricky the Brazilian rosewood he is using in this cue. I can state emphatically it is Brazilian rosewood, Dalbergia nigra. It came from a large lot of Brazilian rosewood purchased from a long time luthier wood supplier. All of the pieces were consistent as far as species, even down to the fresh cut smell Brazilain rosewood gives off. I have sold upwards of 150 squares/rounds of this wood, without any question over the species. It is Brazilian rosewood.

Thanks for the chime in Kelly_Guy. This is true. I have seen some work Bob has put out with Kelly_Guy's wood and it is simply amazing. East Indian is very close in looks, but do a search and you will see it isn't that hard to tell them apart. Besides it better be BR since I paid a premium!!! J/K

Top-notch work from DZ. Could not be executed any better.

The points look like EI Rosewood to me too. But, EI rosewood are much lighter than BR's. The buttsleeve point looks like bocote to me.
EI rosewoods have some purply streaks to them.
BR's have brown, red/orange and some yellow streaks for what I have seen in my pieces. I have one very dark piece too. Really dark but has streaks.
BR's come in so many shades I guess.

Buttsleeve points? The buttsleave will contain no points. It will be BR with a hoppe ring and a black buttcap. What did you mean by this Joey?

It looks like the short view of what the points are going to be like only the picture is cropped and nicely faded on the ends, actually I can see it now. My first thought was a butterfly butt sleeve, then I looked a second time and realized what it was, I mean what it is man...

By the way, very nice cue and supurb workmanship. I can't wait to see more!!

Yep,It looks like Bob laid the veneers & point into a groove the forearm, and magnified, then cropped the picture. I can see where It may look like a buttsleeve though.:) Greg

Ok...I always associate brazilian rosewood as having reddish streaks in it...anyways there's nothing like fresh cut rosewood early in the morning....:D

That cropped pic on the right is exactly that......a cropped pic of what the forearm will look like with the points and veneers. I am so excited about this cue and cannot wait to post more pics as soon as Bob sends me some!!!

Hey Cue Crazy!!!! I got a couple of hampton sneaky's on the way....picked em up for about 15 bucks shipped a piece. Thanks again for the bumpers. This is really what I am waiting on......

Happy to hear You found some replacements for the other deal, and things worked out. your very welcome on the bumpers, I hope they work out well for ya.:)

Bob does some nice work from what I've, and the cue should be well worth your wait. BR is a good choice. I also like the veneer combinations.;)
