Is this the exact same cue that KOINKID has for sale?

It might be the same model but not the same cue. I have this cue in my possession.
Thanks

I have a Tad like the one on this thread, it was my playing cue for years. I had it repainted by Jerry Franklin because I wore the finish off it and wanted it to look nice again, I never put a ding in it just wore alot of the finish off, anyways Jerry repinted it perfectly and saved the wrap, the wrap on mine is amazing they get better with use. Sadly shortly after Jerry repainted it he passed away. After that I put the cue into retirement because it is in 100% condition and Jerry was a good friend I didnt want to risk putting a ding in it. Of all my cues that one and one my dad got for me are my 2 most senemental cues, the "Tribute to Gus Szam" cue is #3 on the list. I just felt like sharing a story today.

my point is any plane jane Tad from who ever is selling it is a AWESOME cue. Of all player cues a 4 point Szam(gus or barry) or a Tad like this one are my 2 all time favorite player cues. I paid $950 for my Tad in 90 and that was a good price, not a great price 17 years ago. Find another $1000 cue for sale in 1990 other than Bushkas, Szams that has went up in price? I dont think you can-I might be wrong, they arnt alot of cues that went up in price. Funny thing is the 4pt and 8pt Tads have came down 20% since 1990, but the plane jane went up-that I know for a fact. I own 10-12 Tads they are among my favorite cues.

I also have a TAD-1 just like this one, and it is my favorite playing cue. I am very suprised that there have been 3 of these for sale on this forum in the last few weeks with no one buying them. The pricing has been very generous for the buyer.

Okay, I've been doing a little research on these models as I have been intrigued by the latest offering of Tad cues here on AZ.

I believe the prices are too high for used models. You can get a brand new one for $1615 (1900 + 15% cash discount). Of course, this does not include the wait time. But a strong tradeoff of buying new and perhaps a less likely chance of "a deal gone south".

I am interested in the available Tad cues, but asking price, IMHO, is just a little too high for a used unit. I hope this does not offend anyone. I believe the collectible cue market is down and it's a buyer's market.

One thing you forgot to research is, that it takes about a year to get one from Tad. Thanks for the insight on my thread.....I really wasn't looking for a price check though...

I ordered one of these from Tad in Dec '86 and picked it up Jan '87. I still play with the cue to this day. And like yours Fatboy, I love the way the wrap on my cue has aged. It has the perfect feel, better than any other wrap I've tried and a beautiful 21 year old patina to boot.

Tad must have really gotten busy since I bought mine and had to raise the price, because I only paid $300. I got only one shaft with it though. I still have the Its George case I bought from Tad with this cue as well.

This is a great chance for someone to pick up an all-time classic. Of all the cues I own, this is the one nearest my heart.:o

My bad, I stand corrected, that makes this sale a great deal! I am aware of the wait period for a Tad.
