This is the first carved GTF case built for me. I wanted a Dragon themed case and this what I got. John signed it and numbered it as the first carved GTF case.

I'll be picking it up in March. I live in Brazil and I don't want it shipped here because the Import Tax will be high or It will disappear in the mail. I will post more photos when it's in my hand. There is no latch, Friction Fit.

Very nice looking tooling work.
The leather looks great.

Enjoy,
Myron

Thanks Myron. I hope the holidays are going good for you and your family. I'll have the case with me at VF.

i was toild if you declare it as a gift and declare the value at 10$ they wont even bother with it... havent had a problem yet

just a thought

Thanks for the pics. I'm working on the same theme and your post is extremely helpful. I guess you won't know till you have it but there seems to be a few scuffs in it already or is it just me ?

Very nice looking case regardless.

It seems to me, it's in the leather naturally. I see what you mean though.

Correct, then I have to worry about receiving it. Brazil is the 2nd largest country for Postal theft next to Mexico.

Well it's still early but chinese dragon tooling on a case by John (Barton).

I'm still putting ideas together but I'm trying to match a Dragon tattoo I have , have it run down the back of the case. Maybe having the lid in it's jaws.

Still trying to nail it down tho. :)

That case will be around for a long time and when you're done with it I'll bet your grandson grabs it.
The case maker obvioulsy took his time and tooled leather with care, the craftsmanship is exceptional, amazing detail, very beautiful.
Thanks for showing it.

That's funny, I did the same thing, matched my back dragon tattoo with the case.:D

RRfireblade, It will probably be the same person and this guy does excellent work.

CocoboloCowboy, Thanks for the compliment
