is he related to Mike Bender in any way?

Nice looking cue. And cheap too!

I DON'T BELIEVE SO, HIS ONLY CUE TIES I KNOW OF ARE TO RICHARD BLACK.

IF IT DOESN'T GO SOON, IT MAY BE COMING TO YOU FOR A NICE BROWN LEATHER WRAP.

Nah, go old school green and white linen

I THOUGHT ABOUT THAT TOO, BUT IF I'M GONNA GO THROUGHT THE TROUBLE OF HAVING A WRAP DONE, IT'S GOT TO BE LEATHER

hows the hit on it ? I'm in the market for a new cue.....hows deflection on it, is it a stiff hit, is it forward balance ? Also, do you have joint protectors ? how long is it ?

IT HAS A NICE TRADITIONAL PILOTED STEEL HIT. DEFLECTION IS IN THE NORMAL RANGE FOR A CUE WITH THIS JOINT. YES, IT IS MILDLY FORWARD WITH A BALANCE POINT OF 19 3/4" AND THE CUE IS 58 1/8" LONG. I'M SURE I CAN FIND YOU JOINT CAPS SOMEWHERE FOR IT.

John has been busy refining his cues for a few years. He has worked with Richard on his technique and if you have ever been to the Hopkins show. John is the black haired gentleman that assists Richard in his booth. He is a great guy and the cue is well worth the 350.00

JV (---anyone who buys it, I'll send you a scan of Johns first brochure.
