Online poker is bigger then ever.

Since the IPT business model was based upon revenue from online poker advertising I wonder if the model would not still be sound? Online poker is huge, even in the USA the number of players playing on sites like Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars is huge and advertising on TV is still rampant. Granted 2006 would have given the IPT a scare, but online poker is bigger now then it ever was and it does not seem to be going anywhere. Unless the online poker crack down was in fact just an excuse for shutting down the big world class events the chance for the IPT to bounce back on a similar business model should be there.

Where is it?

OK, I think you're right, but TV poker has nearly disappeared from my Comcast lineup. Time was, you couldn't flip through the channels without seeing poker. Now I never find it, or rarely on the Travel Channel. But not ESPN. Dunno why.

Anybody?

The World Poker Tour should be debuting on The Game Show Network this coming Monday 3/24/08.

WPT repeats have been running on Saturdays for about 8 hours straight on The Travel Channel.

I find poker on Espn2 & Classic all the time. Poker After Dark as well on NBC.

I still see it on ESPN, mostly for the "poker all night" marathons. They are all reruns. The Travel Channel still has poker weekly, and High Stakes Poker is on GSN. Some channels have that "superstars of hold 'em" (or something like that) but I can't really stand watching that since they are playing for points and not really chips.
