Hello out there I am a new member to these forums. Some of you I have had the pleasure to speak with and some of you not, BUT I have an issue that arose this past week and need some help from you guys out there!!!

I recently posted a Mike Gulyassy cue for sale or trade. I got some feedback on the cue but no real offers, I created another post in which I stated that I was in need of an everyday player and had approx $500 to deal with and also had a cue for trade as well. I was offered a few cues in the price range but nothing that really cought my eye. I was then contacted by "barrosm" with an AE cue with 2 shafts. We agreed upon a selling price of 450 shipped. I sent out the USPS Money order as he requested, and he recieved in 3 days. He the shipped out the next week as he stated that was out of town for work. Well I finally got the cue on Wed. 3/26/08 and the tube that was delivered was EMPTY!!!

I immediatly called him and he appoligized and stated that I needed to go to my local P.O to find out whats going on and see what I can get done. I have gone to my post office and they basically stated that he would need to file a claim with his local P.O......Here is the kicker- - -I found out that he did not insure the cue while shipping it!!!!
- -I sent him a few PMs and he just stated to contact him after im done dealing with my local P.O. -- -I am going in circles and getting nowhere with the post office.... - -I just dont know how to go about getting this resolved!!!

Hey barrosm if you are out there I'm sure your a heck of a guy but I think the best thing would be to send me a refund and you can file with the post office!!!!!

Any ideas out there from the seasoned Azers???? any help would be greatky appreciated!!:o :o

So he sends the tube and it arrives with no cue..

Then he says there's no insurance on the tube/cue..

and tells you to go to the post office for what reason?

No insurance means the post office can do nothing for you.. Even if it was insured he would have to file the claim not you..

and who sends a cue with no insurance??

This doesn't sound good..

In my opinion and the way it should work here, Unless he said before making the deal he was not responsible for the cue once it ships, Which he didn't say that, Is you should get your refund and he deals with the post office..

or am I wrong here AZ members??

WOW this guy has the cue I used to own. Its been changed a little, a diff wrap but the cue is nice if yuo get it, hope you do, I am not positive but I think barrosm bought the cue possibly from BAMA, maybe he personnaly knows the guy?

Agreed! If this is a seller that has had more than a couple of transactions selling and buying cues, he would have known to insure the cue, and for him to tell you to file the claim with the post office is just what he thinks is an easy way out. Seeing as how this all took place through the US Post Office makes it a Federal deal! Sounds like FRUAD! If you cant get any satisfaction from the seller or the US Post Office (wich you won't because it was not insured, and only the seller can file the claim, if it were insured) you might think about your local office of the FBI. Just a thought.

there've been a bunch of posts about this guy borrosm. they actually saved me i really liked that ae cue he was selling and almost made an offer on it.

it sounds like you got got bro. Small claims court maybe?

I think it sounds bad and looks a little bad..

Maybe we shouldn't jump on the guy until he sends in a reply. If you call the seller again or talk in PM's and he refuses to issue a refund please keep us updated.

There were a few threads for bad dealing with him in the past but he has brought his rep back up it appears and sold a few times since then.

I would suggest calling him today first thing..

No reason for red reps if he gives a refund.. Let's let the buyer here call him today and see what he says first. If he will not give the refund then it's a problem. If he gives the refund then he did right in the end.

He shipped in a tube through the USPS? They have the triangle box they give you. Was it ahipped priority or ground? If it was just shipped in a tube, I dont need a response from him, this was a scam.

Is there a way to find out the weight of the tube when it was submitted for shipment? Isn't the weight posted on the tube some place when they run it through?

If it weighs the same as it weighs now then nothing was in there. If it weighs less there's a chance something was in there right?

I understand your thoughts though.. More than you know..

Josh this guy wont be giving a refund trust me,the game scammed him plain and simple and knows he got away with one,the only thing i suggest is finding out how much it cost to ship that tube because its obviously a certain amount empty to ship and a different amount if it has a cue in it.

This stinks Dave because we both tried helping this guy out in the past and get his reputation back as a seller, this option to find out about the weight will determine if its a scam.

BINGO[/SIZE
This guy has been posted about alot and he shipped you a empty box most likely. He didnt insure it because you can't insure AIR and also because he knew with no insurance the post office cant investigate. Like I said, paypal, money orders, what ever,it dont matter the scammers will rip you off
