Nice looking cues Mason!!! Your photo taking is getting better although the full length photo is a bit blurry. :)

Now you just have to come up with "MasonH" rings to separate your cues from the others.

I'm luck enough to own one of Mason's cue and they play very very nice. Now I just gotta beg for one with brass pins ;)

The cues in 1, 3 & 4 have what I would call Mason's rings. If I saw somebody with a cue like that, I would think it was his cue from across the room.

Nice looking wood too. You seem to have a never ending supply of nice pieces.

for sale?

are these sold?

Very nice cues you have there Mason. I looked at the KOA handled cue you had with you at the SBE. I particularly like cue #1. Does cue #2 have a buck horn butt cap?

Mason is it easier to do cues without a linen wrap? I think your work is exceptional,so this is not any type of knock. I see newer makers almost exclusively using the wood handles. HEH

very nice cues.

I like the cue #1.

I would even like it more if the forearm wood is killer curly maple but that is just me. :D

sorry,thesr are all spoken for.

it is 6 of one and half dozen of the other.they are harder to seal and finish with no wrap, but when you are done you don't have to put a wrap on either.linen is actually pretty easy, but i stuggle with leather.

i just do it like that so far b/c i love wood and everyone has ordered them like that.the no wrap cues seem to be getting more and more popular.i am a wood freak and my hands don't sweat when i play so i have always prefered the no wrap, and it seems that lots of people are going to it.

i had difficulty finding a finish that was high gloss and had a nice clean feel to it.some of the finishes seem to attract dirt for lack of better terminology.in other words it is hard to keep them clean feeling.Mike Webb turned me on to this finish and it i love it,very durable, glossy and clean.thanks Mike.

They are all very attractive and you should be proud.

thanks everyone.i had a few questions to joint and butt material on the Macassar and Gaboon cues.the butts are Buckhorn and the joints are Moose.i got the materials from Jeff and he told what type of moose but i forgot, maybe he can chime in and tell me again.

the first cue is Birdseye and 5A Koa that is going to Smokey, who used to be a memeber here.we have stayed in contact and he ordered it.it has a Purpleheart handle under the Koa and the Birdseye is cored with Ipe.

the rest of the forearms a solid with no core.

the other are Gaboon with Quilted Sapele,Camdobian Rosewood with Olivewood handle,Cocobolo with insane Birdseye handle, and Macassar with Quilted Mpale handle.

all handles are cored with salvaged Old Growth Maple from an order i made of some boards of the stuff.i had a few pieces that i was scared to put into shafts and though they would make excellent handles.it is very dense, dark Maple with excellent tone.
