It is the set for the young player.

Break-jump cue. Black hornbeam, ring-works, hornbeam crown shaft, Southwest type pins.

Classical full splice player cue. Tiger maple, rosewood. Fancy sleeve. Ring-works. The laminated maple shaft. Moory-M tip. Southwest type pin.

The player is young (13 years old lnly) but he already the champion of Russia among players till 18 years on Russian billiard !!! Congratulations :). I was confident on him therefore I have decided to present him inlays on a sleeve (mammoth ivory and amboyna burl on ebony). He wants to play pool too. :)

Here photo of my young friend's Russian billiards cue (RBcue) in comparison with poolcues. Now this RBcue has arrived to me for preventive maintenance after a fighting season.:)

RBcue is longer than a Poolcue. Poolcue has 58-59 inches, a maximum 60". RBcue has the minimal length of 61 inch (very seldom), basically of 62-67 inches, standard length 63".

Handle of RBcue is more thin than Poolcue. Diameter of the handle near bamper, RBcue - from 1.0" till 1.15", the standard about 1.06", and Poolcue has about 1.22"-1.27".

Diameter of a joint - RBcue from 0.7" up to 0.8" frequently about 0.76"-0.77", Poolcue has about 0,82 "-0.87".

Diameter of tip of RBcue about 12-12.5 mm (maybe less, extreme up to 11 mm), Poolcue 12.5-13.0 mm.

The weight - RBcue is much heavier than Poolcue. RBcue weighs about 22.9-27.5 ounces, more often approximately 24.75 ounces and weight are not adjusted, Poolcue 18-20 ounces, more often adjustable.

RBcue frequently has no coat absolutely or has some covering with oil and wax. Now RBcue began to have a clear covering more often.
