getting rid of the ole deano heh . love mine which is ebony but i like the brown alittle better . good luck hopefully only serious buyers show up and not the local basher circlejerk .

A bump. Great Pictures put together. I sold mine in a few hours  and there were still a few interested then.

so is there anything special about these sneaky petes other than the taper difference? are they cored? any special construction techniques? or are they just another conversion cue with a joint and a custom shaft? Thanks for any help., Nate.

Deano cue tricks

Nate,

I have talked quite a bit to Dean about his construction methods and design, he has shared some of the knowledge,(design and results not construction or build techniques) with me...

Dean has set the cue up with some specific balance points and various tapers to provide a cue with consistent performance ... as far as I know the cues are definitely not cored... I have purchased 3 and not one of those were cored...

I can tell you that on my cues that I have that they seem very evenly balanced not to fwd or rear balanced, so that leads me to believe that the weight is centered under the grip area... all of the shafts that I have are 4.0 ounces or greater, and suit me for all the games that I play - 9 ball, 8 ball and 1 hole... I have changed the tip to a Moori Med on my proto s/p, just personal preference... I do think that the joint of the cue provides a great deal of feel or feedback from the hit...

and addressing the shaft taper - initially you would think that the taper would induce a lot of cue ball deflection but contrary to thought it is very comfortable to shoot with and move your cue ball around the table... I am not saying that this cue will make you or any of us a champion, but they play good, that is just the bottom line...

hope this helps...

GP
