Ripped off by Harley9ball on eBay

I purchased a supposedly Tim Scruggs shaft from this guy on eBay.
His email is: jr0996@aol.com.
First he lied to me 3 times when it was sent. When I finally got it, what a piece of junk. I am not exaggerating, it was so rough, you almost got splinters in your hand from it. The brass insert had wood around it and stuck out further than any Scruggs shaft I ever saw. The base of the shaft was black with a cheap aluminum ring inserted in it. Not ever close to the nickel ring Tim uses. Then I returned it and he tells me no returns as stated in the auction. I told him, the shaft was so misrepresented the was BS not returns.
Now it is with Paypal and I am sure I will take a beating there as well. Just heads up on this guy. What a fraud and a lier he turned out to be....

????

Maybe he did not know it was not a Scruggs shaft?
He just bought it from rustysmom781 who lives in winchester ,Ma.
rustysmom has had problems before with fellow AZ'rs .

Sorry to hear that...

I'll never buy anything from ebay when the seller does not offer a return on the item..

Maybe the guy got ripped and said the hell with it and throws it back up to get his money back? Then Ken buys it..

That also is a possibility

Thanks for the warning. Its sad to hear another azer getting ripped..

On the lighter side, next time get your cue assistant to buy it for you...what an assistant.

Sending you some green rep for the headsup, hope it gets sorted out.

I have a story about this guy and he is a liar and a theif. I sold him a cue about a year ago and everything was fine, I shipped another cue out with the help of my sister and it accidently got sent to the wrong person(Harley9Ball). He signed for the cue and swore to me that he never got it, said somebody must have signed his name. 3 months later he has my cue for sale on Ebay, so I buy it back just so I can ream his a**. The guy is a piece of Sh*t and good for nothing. I am so glad to finally put this in print on AZ. Stay Away from this LOSER!!!

From the photo in the other auction,
It appears to be the same shaft. I guess I got 2 shafts for the price of one and either of them are any F___ing good.....
I guess next time I will have to have my assistant do the buying!!!

I recently bought a cue on ebay, but the buyer never shipped it out. After i made the purchase i decided that it was time to leave feedback to other purchases that i havent left yet, and i accidently left it on this guy's too. I never shipped the cue yet, its been about 5-6 days, do you think he's scamming me because he sees that feedback has already been given? It was given within hours of purchasing the cue, im pretty sure it has the date and time when it was left, so if i dont receive the cue, i can most likely do a paypal claim right? Not sure what my chances are but i'll give it a shot.

Ken... If you have proof you sent it back, file it with PayPal as: "item returned-not as described" and PayPal will refund your money. It may take a while. Good Luck!

Just a couple of tips so you can WIN your case with Paypal.

1)Return the shaft to the seller with UPS and require an adult signature. I don't care if you send an empty tube back to the guy. You just need to have him sign for a package you shipped to him to his address.
2)File an item not as described right away with Ebay and Paypal.
3)Give it a few days to let the seller respond.
4)Do not let 30 days go by after filing it. Paypal will close the case in the sellers favor.
5)File a police report no matter what you paid for it. This will help in the next couple of tips.
6)After 5-10 days go by with or with out a response from the seller click on escalate the case to a mediator.
7)Pressent your case wording it well to the moderator and also show them a copy of the police report that you filed with the local police. Also present the moderator with the return delivery signature that showed that you returned the shaft.

If you follow these tips in the order I have pressented them you will WIN your case and get most of your money back.

Aw, that sucks Ken! Well, for a happier note, you It's George case is on it's way. Oh, and I found the sheeth for it. It's in the pocket.

Here is his latest email to me...

I sent him the link to the auction he bought it from. Now we will see what he has to say....

Here is my reply.....What a jerk.

I'll tell you what.
You send the shaft to Tim and I will pay for the shipping.
If Mike or Tim states it is one of their shafts, I will take it and
pay all expenses. If it is not one of theirs, you refund all my money
plus the shipping to Tim's shop as well.
Can't get any fairer than that. If you don't want to do it, send me my money back.
And yes, I have owned about 7 or 8 Scruggs cues and I do know what a Scuggs shaft
should be and is....So don't start playing your stupid games with me. You got that shaft on ebay

Ias well.

LOL, your posts on this matter must have really caused him grief.

harley9ball's location???

Where was this guy located?? I has bought a "Scruggs" shaft off of ebay from a guy located in Mass. Needless to say, the shaft was garbage, and the guy must have been smoking crack to think that Tim would have made that shaft that was supposed to have been from his Scruggs SP. If anyone comes across someone selling "Scruggs" shafts located in Mass....DO NOT BUY.. After getting scammed I looked through his sold items in the past, and it seems that "Scruggs must have made about 6 shafts for his SP that he owned. Things that make you go HHMMMM

By the way, I have some older Scruggs that have wood around the brass insert, I don't believe he does them that way anymore though

Now he's DEFORMED! Why do I have a picture of the Hunchback Of Notre Dame in my head?

How about a different shaft?

Hi Ken,

I might be able to hook you up with a different shaft for your TS cue.....give me a hollar and we'll check specs and such.

Sorry about the EBAY thing, I saw a couple of the auctions and had zero luck getting any replies from my inquiries

Better Rolls to Ya,

Ken :)
