I appreciate your effort in sponsoring a tournament for the amateurs. You have a great rep on this forum, and I hear you play good pool.

I just want to mention to you that I often find the entry fee information confusing when you list a tournament here on AZ. First I read $60 to enter including "green fee." Then a tour card fee of $20 is mentioned. So, I am guessing it will really cost me $80, right? Then somewhere else it says there is no tour card fee at this event. Look, I know there is a lot smarter folks on AZ than this Alabama Boy, but I really like it when folks just keep it simple and easy to understand. For example:

It will cost all adult males $60 to play in this tournament.

If you want to be a member of the Viking Tour, you can pay an extra $20 for a 2008 tour card. The tour card will save you $20 on any future Viking Tournaments that you enter in the 2008 season.

Just plain easy to understand words that us plow boys can go a figurin on.

Sorry for any cunfusion.

The entry fees are only $60 for the Open and $50 for the Amateur for this event in Memphis.

because it is a new territory for us and we do not have a lot of members in the area we are offering a promotion of NO TOUR CARD FEES for this event. Normally the TC fees are $30 for a full card or $20 for a 1 day TC. Again at this event you DO NOT have to pay for any TC but you can if you want to play in any of or other events such as the Nationals.
