Best safetybattle EVER

What a GREAT series of safeties and also the final shot attempt while attempting not to be three fouled. Michaela's reaction to the intentional foul was classic too. Thanks for the link.

lol defnitely worth the watch. I love Michaela's reaction to Luong saying he'll take a foul - she wasn't familiar with that so he just fouls. :D

Finally

i made a post along time ago about this video, I couldnt find it, I saw it once and lost the link, its is amazing, infact its the only time I ever saw this come up in 9 ball. Its cool.

I never get tired of watching that video. Very entertaining.

Oddly enough, I had a similar situation come up in a tournament 2 years ago. The one was stuck within a cluster just like that and I also left the guy much further from the ball. Amazingly, he jumped onto it exactly and hit it to avoid the third foul. He wasn't even a particularly good player, and I was very surprised he got it.

I can never forget the "long dong" comment of Corey in this match, classic!

All brought about because Luong missed the One Ball. Pretty clever safeties by Foldes using another ball to hide the One. Most players would not think of this option. But the jump shot to hit the One by Luong is a thing of beauty.

Hey, don't these two guys look like brothers from a different mother? Their dad got around. :)

Great Vid....I had a buddy in a tournament "surrender" a foul and the ref insisted he foul so he picked up the ball and handed it to the ref and said "is this a foul?"...I always remembered that line.

Michaela did the same thing in this video. She made him commit a foul rather than surrender the shot. Rules are rules.

Regards,
Jim

PS: What your buddy did came VERY close to unsportsmanlike conduct and it could have cost him the rack. I'm not saying I would call it but there are refs and TDs who might.

That is some fantastic pool. I would not have thought of hiding the OB like Foldes did. Another reason to watch the big boys. You might just learn something!!

its right up there with the Deuel Boyes IPT safety battle. excellent thread.

Is there video available online of this one? I haven't seen it, and I love a good 8-ball safety battle. There's much more strategy involved than in rotation safety battles, in my opinion.
