I have a friend that is wondering how old CJ is. He remembers he has been a great player for many years and when he asked me his afge I didn't know.

Some of you guys here are sure to be able to answer this one.

First met him in the late 80's and he was just a pup.

i'd guess he's between 40 and 42.

That's correct. CJ told me the same number at the Open.

David,
Right you are. His birthday is October 18, 1964. Started playing when he was 7.
Great to see you active here again brother.

CJ showed up at the Johnny and Earl Exhibition in Dallas in Sept. Here's a pic of him with fellow AZr Chris:

CJ had one of the highest 9ball gears I seen in the late 80's or early 90's. He would battle anyone in Dallas Efren, Jose, Johnny, Antonio, etc. Super tough to beat when in was in stroke. Not many came looking for him, and if they did they didn't try to hard to find him.

great great player and a treat to watch in person.

From what I've seen lately, it seems as though CJ has got the itch again and is going to try to dedicate himself a bit more to coming back and being as competitive as he can be. If he really spends the time... watch out, he has as much talent as just about anyone who has ever played the game.

I remember those days well. A few of the top players I saw CJ whup on for the cash in the 90's: J. Archer, K. McCready (ran an eight back on a tough Gold Crown to win this), S. Townsend & J. Wetch.

He also lost to Rafael and Bustamante , but hey, you can't win em all.
