Hey guys, wanting to know about this color of Simonis and whether anyone has a picture of it on a table (preferably an anniversary)

I don't think i've seen it in person in a pool hall, most of what i've seen is tournament blue and Simonis green.

this is for my home and tournament blue is too close to carolina blue... and carolina can go to hell, carolina go to hell!

I have seen the Royal Blue in the pool hall I play they put it only one time because nobody liked it, it was quite a bit darker then the standard green cloth made the balls harder to see especially if you don't have a lot of light on the table. My favorite color is the tournament blue btw the table was Brunswick GC IV.

Yeah, that looks dark as hell...

Pretty to look at, but hell to play on. I once played on felt approximately that dark (brown, ugh) and it damn near killed me.

I have Royal Blue on my GCI. I used it to match the skirts and aprons on the table which are painted Corvette Electron Blue Metallic, that matched my '02 Vette.

I have a Diamond light, so lighting is not an issue. The RB is not as bad bad as some posters think, but it is pretty dark.

Since I put the RB on my table I have played a bit more on the TB and like it better. So, next time it will wither be TB or EB.

Here's some pics......

now THAT is a beautiful table right there.

Obviously the paint sets off the felt here.

I think that if the lighting is right the cloth would not bother me at all being that dark. It would not be that much darker than a traditional Simonis Green comparatively.

Thanks for the help, not sure that I have narrowed my choices down just yet!

I like your table especially the pocket angle. Is the pocket cut straight back? It looks that way to me in the pic?

Yes, the pocket facings are parallel so a ball will drop if hit correctly, even with speed down the rail. Unlike many tables where the pocket openings are much larger at the front and will spit the ball back out.

Ernesto Dominguez set up the table with new rubber, 4" pockets, etc...

It plays tough but fair.

I haven't had anyone complain about the color of the cloth yet!!

I think the Blue shows dirty more than Green.

I think the Blue shows dirty more than Green.

I am not sure about this, but the tournament blue seems to lose its color quickly. Could it be from the uv in the lights?

really nice looking hustler... I swear they could use your pics in their promotional materials (except custom paint job, wow! Did that set you back much?).

The place I played at with brown cloth was actually kinda neat to just look at because they decided to do their tables in kind of a rainbow. There was red, green, blue, purple, brown, and black. I can't remember if there was yellow but I hope not. The red was probably the worst to play on, especially as this cloth was very fuzzy barbox cloth (but on full sized tables). Black was bad but not as bad as I expected. If you can shoot on black you surely can work with royal blue.
