All I could find was four racks being the recored of recorded runs in 15-ball rotation. Not ball in hand. Nothing goes on the break...game over. Sounds almost impossible to me. Johnnyt

The (unrecorded) World Record in my basement was 2. Felt like I had eaten the 48oz steak but didn't puke.

And I think 'running a rack of rotation' should be defined. Are we talking about all 15 balls or 61 points and you are allowed to shoot highest or lowest ball?

I was talking whole rack in order + it was on 9' table.

Never tried the 61 points and you are allowed to shoot highest or lowest ball, but it sounds lots easier.

first and only time I ever played rotation for money, was in 1992 @ $20 a game.

Took me a while to adjust to the "2-foul" style, but I started slowly getting the hang of it, and slowly got ahead of my opponent.

I think I was stuck 2 games, then got up 2 when I broke and ran 61+. I made one ball (5 or 6 IIRC) and ran to about the 11 I think. He quit.

Felt great, I'm only a "B" so it wouldn't happen often.

You can make 61 with 5 to 10 balls. Johnnyt

true, but I didn't just start at the 15 and cherry pick the highest point balls.

I broke, made a ball, and beginning at the 1, ran them in rotation to win that rack, without my opponent getting to the table.

Playing by the rack, rotation, that's what I had to do to win.

It don't happen often but...11, 12, and 13 on the break, combo 15 with the 1, luck 10 in on the combo= 5 balls for 61. Johnnyt

Why would you go to 15, if you hit 61 pts?
Efren , I believe got to 61, in 4 racks in a row according to Mark Wilson.
He didn't get to the 5th rack b/c he lost the coin toss for the break.

I would bet on Efren running to 61 over four times in a row, I'm talking running the whole 4 racks w/o ball in hand.

If Efren couldn't do it some of his countymen can I bet. Johnnyt

Do you think there's much of a difference between 61 and the full rack for Efren off the break? He likely needs to make it to at least the 10 to get to 61, and I would expect Efren to get out on the last 5. Too bad this 4-pack wasn't recorded.

I'd like to see more rotation played in the US.

15-ball rotatin, Chicago, money-ball, and pay-ball was the big game for years until the COM came out. Then it became all 9-ball. I played money-ball from 1 to 15 hours a day 7 days a week for years. Johnnyt

A friend of mine watched Efren break and run 3 in a row (all 15 balls) in Baltimore warming up at a pro tournament. After 3 he stopped and put up his cue. It was big pocket gold crowns with new simoniz.

But years ago I watched both Earl and Efren try to run out for an hour or so on the Gandys at the Brass Tap in Raleigh with new old style nappy cloth and never get out. Earl said sometimes he can get out a lot, but it's just really hard to do.

I believe Efren has run a 4 pack of rotation on a few occasions. I personally witnessed 3 consecutive racks of rotation run in a row by Finland's Marko Lothander, he was just practicing with Mika in NYC and everyone was like whoa!

A person at The Bowery was practicing and ran 8 racks of 15 balls not taking ball in hand and running 1-15, he may have had 1 or 2 combos but that was it.

We played a lot of Chicago here several years ago, honest attempt shoot til you miss. I've run 2 in a row a few times, always on a triple shimmed gold crown. That game will teach you to be creative with kicks, combos, and position.

I don't know what the record is, I think a lot has to do with the layout after the break, some racks are just unrunable even by top players. The most I ever ran is 2 racks. Didn't Fast Larry claim on this board that he once ran 5 racks of rotation:D

I thought the story was Efren ran 5 racks off rotation in Cali. I know Ive heard that twice and I thought I read it on here.
