Colorado Cue Club has closed. I would try Table Steaks near Broadway and Hamden (south Denver). Call to see what's up tonight but there always is a little action.

My how things have changed since I was there. Wynkoop was a no action place then. Table Steaks was at I hink 20th and Sheridan, and the the Family Fun center on 38 th and Sheridan. That was about it. There was also the Pool Hall on s havana in Aurora. I made a smal fortune in that place when nobody else would go out there. Lyle and Dotty were just great.

The Cue Club closed within the past month -- apparently, bad management brought them down, because they drew a decent crowd.

The old Family Fun Center at 38th and Sheridan still attracts some players, but nothing like the old days. Now it's called Hank's, although the sign out front says Paradise. And the sign over the back door says Family Fun Center.

Table Steaks on Sheridan has also closed, and Table Steaks south is a pretty cool place with good food and good equipment. Players drop by there and action is available. Best to go to the bar and make conversation. Good luck.

Rackem in Aurora is my favorite. I live in Colorado Springs and drive there to play.

I was at Table Steaks South and after playing by myself for about an hour got approached by a 'middleman' that wanted to stake "his boy" against me for cheap sets. It was pretty friendly, even, and fun. Then on my way out, when I went to pay I mentioned to the guy at the counter that "I wouldn't mind a little more action" and it turned out to be a little more for me to handle. But still fun and friendly. No hoods, and friendly action. The kind that leaves both parties satisfied with having good clean cut action.
Nice tables (Brunswick 9 footers), good service, and apparently a handful of decent players. I for one look forward to going back again soon.
