I was just wondering on a few rules for the SBE ,,must the 9 ball be called ? And are jump cue's allowed ? I looked on the site but couldn't find anything, if someone could help I would appreciate it,, Gavin

In previous years you did not call the 9 and jump cues and phenolic tips were allowed.

This will be my first time in tournament, so I'm guessing standard Texas Express 9-ball rules. As far as I know, only the BCA league dissallow phenolic for break, still leaguel for jump.

Thanks for the replies,,, I figured it was basic Texas express rule's, but I heard a guy saying they wont allow jump cue's, but I figure I would ask for sure,, thanks

I heard they were playing 10 ball. Does any else have any information about this?

That would be the pro tournament, the rest is 9 ball ,,,,

Texas Express as played in all major US events. Remember, this event is a race to five, best two of three, single elimination. Lots of guys I speak with forget that part.
