I don't think ESPN would take too kindly to that.

Bummer, espn is correct, it would be a real bummer if we saw it live as apposed to...who knows how long after that fact. And thats if you have a DVR.

Probably been said, but does anyone know why they do a redraw? Seems like it doesn't identify the best player.

I know...but I can't talk about it. I don't want to get fined for repugnant behavior. :ignore:

Congrats to Gerda and also to an excellent performance by Chang in her first ever WPBA event!

Chang played very well and I dont think she contemplated possibly losing til she was down 6-3 to Gerda. She was relaxed and playing to the crowd, looking like, she'd been in the finals of big tournaments for years.

One other thing believe it or not- Steve was introducing her as Shirley Chang. She apparently amercanized her name. Must be planning to be here a while.

Actually, her English name is Cherie. Has been for years, but hasn't had a need to use it til recently. Steve just mispronounced her name. This defeat in the finals aside, she is certainly a world class player..

I am glad to see her win this tournament. She has been in the running of many tournaments in past years finishing close, so this must be really gratifying to her. I remember seeing her practice diligently at Family Billiards in San Francisco many moons ago. Seemed like a real nice lady. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the relatively large payouts for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places.....I certainly hope the WPBA rights itself and continues well into the future.....I would miss seeing these lady pros....

Yes she is-Thanks for the info on her name. Cherie definitely beats Shirley for someone of Chinese origin.

I remember for a while Xiao Ting was going to be 'Tina Pan' but she apparently decided otherwise in the end.
