This weekend in San Diego was one of the most enjoyable weekends I have had in years.
The ladies of the WPBA are amazing.
All of them make themselves available to everyone.
The casual fan eats it up.

If the men were half as accommodating as the woman the men might still have a tour.

The fact that most are very attractive definitely does not hurt.

It seems like Viejas Casino will always support a women's tour stop, in good times or bad. To me, it looked like there were slightly less spectators in the stands compared to last year. But, the crowd was still just as enthusiastic as ever. As you said, the women really brought a good show to town and I always enjoy being there for it.

I hope the tour can survive this tough economy and bring in more stops this year. They can definitely look at the San Diego Classic as a model to attract other venues to the tour.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Viejas last week and who watched online! The TAR streaming was great and the women definitely appreciate the support of all the spectators.

Spanky, it's nice to hear the positive feedback once in awhile too! Thanks for the kinds words about the tour.

I wish I was as sanguine as you.

The WPBA has a few major, major issues and each can kill the tour. It's on life support. Even though I don't know all the intimate details, anyone that has been paying attention can figure it out.

The biggest problem I can see is that the tour needs to be run like a successful business, with the right people to handle the job. Unfortunately, that isn't always gonna be the WPBA players who are experts in Pool, but not necessarily business experts. I'm sure there are other issues I don't know about, but this is one of the more obvious ones.

That said, I'll light a candle and hope for the best.

I had a great time, everyone's game looked solid. So many new strong players. One good push with some $$$ behind her and the WPBA will soar again.

Yes, they do have there share of problems at the moment, but those ladies are smart and stubborn and the won't go down without a fight.
I know they will do whatever it takes to make it work, because from talking to most of them this is there dream and they will not let it go.

I talked with several of the ladies about what might happen and there were many good ideas of how to fix things.
This tour is owned by the players and they are the one who have to do what it takes to make it survive.

I for one am positive it will happen and the tour will be stronger in the long run.
