The other day a friend and I got in a discussion about playing in pro events. I told him anyone could play in most events as long it's not an invitational event. He argued back you had to be invited to all of them. Help us solve this debate please.

Rare, are the invitational events.

I can only think of 1 in the USA.

For the most part you can play,if it is a BCA event you have to be a member, and maybe a couple others.

Any poolplayer on earth can take a chance and play in events like the US Open, Derby City Classic, Eurotour etc.

You can even travel to World Championships and join the qualifiers the days before.

All you need is the entryfee, I am sure you can borrow a cue if you need one :D

World Pool Masters, Mosconi Cup, International Challenge of Champions, European Championships, US Open 10-ball Championship and some others you have to be invited.

BTW, when people use words like 'all' and 'never', they're always wrong!
