I saw this cue at a pawn shop. . .I didn't end up getting it, but my wife really liked it because it was purple. Sorry for the kind of bad pics, I couldn't get it to focus very well.

Also, there was a Dufferin with a red maple leaf on the butt, which is the first cue I ever shot with. I was really tempted to get it. .but their asking prices were a little rediculous, and the dufferin's ferule was almost detached.

They would make excellent second prizes for any contest.
....first prize would be not having to take them...

You made the right decision. It's a cheap Taiwan or Chinese cue. Not even one of their better ones.

ROFL. Ya. I wasn't thinking it was anything. I'm not particularly knowledgeable, but I know most of the basics just from perusing the forums.

TY for the input. Although thinking about http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=185759 for my wife as a cue for her to start with. :)

That is a nice cue and will play good. Here is another Pechauer with case, etc. Good luck!

I think that would be excellent. It's better than a starting cue...
..will last for a long time.
Pechauer is quality, has a lot of good maple.I heard he owns a forest
and has supplied other cue makers.

Thanks for the input. Ya, it wasn't JUST meant as a starter. Hoping it would be something that lasts her a long time. :) She can share my Pred. BK2 for now, teaching her how to play and really like for her to not be playing with a house cue.

Either of those 2 would be perfect. I really like the pink one. It would be a fantastic starter if you have a case for it. The other would also work as it comes with a case and a break cue.

I personally have shot with one exactly like the red peachauer. I was trying cues out before purchasing. I chose a Jacoby over the red peach. But it was down to one of the 2. It hit fantastic. A little stiffer than I liked at the time. But it was well worth the asking price.

Either way you cannot loose. Both are fine cues. Hell at the price take'm both. Give her the pink custom and keep the red as a backup for your own player. You can never have enough cues. Really:thumbup:.

Best of luck in your search.

I like the one with the slip on ferrule in the pictures. That's the mark of a quality cue maker!
