yeah i know but there're a few people on here that i like to keep in touch with and i figure they dig my posts from time to time and i don't want to start over.

i also don't want ot lose my "i" trader cred. done a lot of deals to get it where it is and i don't want people to hear poolplayer2093 is cool to deal with but they've never heard of "put cooler pseudonym here"

I pm'ed Mike to change mine to Dizzy or azbdizzy when I came down with vertigo but he never did change it.

That would be more appropriate now, especially since I no longer live in St Louis.

pulzcul
09-29-2010, 06:03 AM
No but I do wish I had spelled it different. Its pronounced poolzcool. But I didn't have room on my plate so I shortened it to pulzcul. I'm sure though that most of the people on AZ have got it by now.

My handle was "justaboutA" and I have no idea why I picked it. I PM'ed mike and he switched all of my account information to GMAC. I didn't lose any itrader or rep points. Then I just put in my sig line formerly "justaboutA" for about two months and the few people I knew got it.

Luther Lassiter or how about Wiilie Mosconi. Cole Dickson and Dallas West are two of my favorite all time pool player names as well. They sound like gunslingers!

I think I want to change my name to Luther Lassiter, too cool for school!

Maybe I should have gone with one of my childhood nicknames. MECHANICAL BALLS

I play a mechanical type game and I do make balls.

Or I could steal a name. GEORGE FOREMAN the 15TH. That would work.

Yes, I didn't realise when I started out on the internet that other people had super-cool pseudonyms - I have a gamer name of BIG*N*BAD - maybe I would have used that?

I should have picked Turd Ferguson. It's a funny name.

Snapshot9
09-29-2010, 10:31 AM
Well, Snapshot is my pool nickname that was given to me, so my user name is Snapshot9 (9 for 9 ball, of course).

I have a black case, so I had a patch made from a company on the internet (stitched), rounded rectangle, with a blue border, red background, and white stitching with 'Snapshot' on it, and I super glued it to my little pocket on my case. I think it cost me about $15 with shipping.

Works for me ...

If the mods change your name, it will probably still be linked to your existing profile page so maybe you wouldn't lose your IT rating.

If you ask I'm sure the Mod's can make this happen......

I was ignored by more than one moderator (including Mike) when I requested a change.

When I signed up, I had just come from playing 9 ball with a friend of mine, and I was on fire that day, so he jokingly called me a 9 ball marksman. Therefore, it was the first thing that popped into my mind when I picked a name. Now, I find it cheesey and silly, and I wish I could change it.

I have been on AZ from the very early days. I have had 3-4 different screen names. I wish I could have saved my posts etc. I feel like a total newbie- I have less than 500 and other guys that have also been around since the beginning (like joeya; mike page; the funniest guy on the internet Smorg; and so many others (even the annoying ones like Pat Johnson ;-) have like 5-10k posts. Don't think I ever would have had that, but I certainly have more than 500!

Clint Eastwood (I think it's already been taken and there will never be another), and Cool Hand Luke (I'm not cool enough to pull off a Kurt Russell character, let alone Paul Newman)!

Speaking of using real names, i was in a check cashing line when the guy in front of me pulls a knife & stabs the guy cashing his check(seems neither could write) & he signed with an "X". When the police asked why he stabed him his reply was "that he was forging my name on his check".(stay in school)

Back in the days when I first started playing pool and posting on Billiard Digest forum and then on this forum when it started up I initially had the nick "Richard Cranium"

I don't log on to Billiard Digest forum anymore.....It was a cool nick, but I started to feel like everyone was being a dick toward me:rolleyes:

My game got quite a bit better than it was back then so I had it changed to what it is now.

No.. I picked my name waaaaaaaaaaay back when. Before I was really educated about the whole "pool scene". I wanted to change it and just use my name, but I couldn't get any help for the powers that be.

I don't mind it so much, but being a lowly C player and the farthest thing from a pool huslter, It just doesn't fit me at all.

I got my AZ name from a nickname that only got used at the first pool room I played in a college student union and I didn't mention it again until I joined AZ. Simple enough, my friends thought I played like a robot that would in a fairly rigid way aim and make shots in quick succession. I played fairly fast then with only one practice stroke, if that and I was known to forgo food to practice 12 hours or more at a time. Oh yeah and it was only a few years after the Terminator movies started coming out so it wasn't a stretch to put those things together. I still think it sounds a little silly but don't really care as the only other nicknames I ever got in pool were my last name and some derogatory stuff for doing well in a lot of local tournaments. The only other thing I could think of using would have been THE ANCHOR as I was always the Anchor on my VNEA teams and I really liked being the guy to help pull the team up. Hmmm....maybe I should change it to THE ANCHOR....damn it...lol...I think I'll keep pooln8r for a while but I call dibs on THE ANCHOR if it hasn't been taken :)

hay it looks like they're making this weekly tournament at eddies a weekly thing. you and will ought to make your way down and play. it's a handicapped 9 ball tournament. double elimination. they're still working out the kinks but basically it's a $10 handicapped tournament. giving up games (race to 5). jeff gregory ran it for us in a desperate attempt to unf*ck it.

they got me listed as a C player meaning boy george gives me 2 games on the wire.
