This SHOULD apply to pool as well. It's the "character" part that is holding pool back, IMO.

Forget who it was, one of those short term projects from long ago. The guy was sharp, worked hard, blew his own horn a bit too much to suit me. Sincerely trying to be helpful I suggested he tone it down a bit. He said:

I had to admit his view made more sense than mine and I was never handicapped by modesty, false or otherwise, after that!
