The Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, which has been in bankruptcy for almost two years, is finally calling it quits. At over 55 years old, The Riviera is one of the strip's oldest casinos.

The casino's two grand ballrooms have lately been host to many of the U.S. national amateur and professional pool tournaments. The BCAPL and the APA, the two largest amateur leagues in the country, and now left scrambling for new venues for their tournaments.

The BCAPL has already announced that they will be switching locations for this May's BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships to the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel in Southern Indiana, home of the Derby City Classic. The APA has not yet decided where to move their upcoming tournaments.

Due to the expected turmoil over the last minute switch in venues, the BCAPL and the Riviera have agreed to compensate those players that have already signed up for the tournament and paid for hotel rooms and/or booked flights to Las Vegas.

All players in the 2011 BCAPL National 8-Ball Tournament are asked to click on the link below to be redirected to a form that you can submit for compensation.
