View Full Version : A "Casual" 210 run by Karl

He came into my homeroom the other day, screwed his cue together (gorgeous fancy SW) and ran 210 on my hapless friend, who didn't know who he was.

It was almost a perfect run, barely any reaches and every end game pattern and break-shot was perfect. The run ended on a skid, which would've devastated most people but Karl apparently runs centuries at a whim. Last time he stopped by he posted a 151, and the time before a 102...and he makes it look sooooo easy.

Yeah -Karl broke, the kid played safe and Karl ran the 200+.

The kid was alll optimistic "Yeah Ill play some straight pool" with a smile. I turned to Roger and said "no you won't".

Anyway it was a beautiful run with the clusters being broken up so perfectly.

Is this Karl Sloezen? If so, please congratulate him on a nice run and say hi from me. I haven't seen him in awhile.

Thanks,
Steve

"WOW" That is great. How long did it take him to run that many? :)

Seems to me it couldnt have been much too more than an hour. Maybe Roger has better idea.

I think Davey's estimation sounds right, under 1.5 hours or so.

No money, just a practice session by Karl.

BTW-Despite Karl's straight pool prowess and the fact that he lives in the NY Metro area, he has not been invited to the World Championships to be played here in May.

This is true. I PM'ed Randy (NYC cue dude) about this just now and I'm waiting to see what he says.

Karl definitely deserves an invite. The other day he ran two over 100 in 4 tries...he is certainly world class.

Then just get him to sign up for the qualifier on Apr 1st at ABC.
