Played at local senior center recently.

They have 3 full size Olhausens...that's good. All just recovered...with a heavy nap cloth...that's good (but a lot slower than Simonis).

But-almost all of the pocket irons are lower than flush with the rail. Crisply hit balls are spit out when they hit the back of the pocket rim.

Is this because balls hit the pocket iron below center and launches it back out?

ps: 1/15 in the sides, last pocket 8ball-takes a while

The only time I've witnessed this is when the mechanic deliberately left out a pocket to rail screw (makes rail assembly much easier) and the other screw loosens.

you sure this isn't the standard Olhausen spit balls out thing? Olhausens have pocket facings angled such that (combined with a deeper shelf than a Brunswick) tends to bang the OB around facing-facing and jar it or spit it back out. It gives me such grief. I don't know why these people insist on not fixing this year after year. Can't wait to get a Diamond.

Balls hang up and spit out more on olhausens. I don't like the way they play. Those skinny rails but me too.
