Just got my super focus glasses today. Holy crap these things are amazing. Had no idea how much I was missing. The toggle on the bridge of the nose is easy to use, the clarity is absolutely ridiculous. Still ordered some regular progressives with the new Nikon lenses for everyday wear (being cautious), gonna go play some tonight and see how things go.

I have posted about these glasses several times on here.

I wear these for day-to-day use, but not for playing pool. The lenses can be adjusted to any focal length by simply moving the little knob on the nose bridge. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me about them. They come with a 30-day money back guarantee and I can get you a 10% discount should you decide to keep them. Message me for any questions you may have. I am wearing them at work as I type this. They are the best all-round glasses you can buy if you currently wear bifocals or progressive lenses. There is absolutely no comparison between SuperFocus and those...SuperFocus kicks their asses.

I'll stick with my upside down snooker glasses then. Yeah, I saw the price and can tell ya that they will never be on my wish list.

I'll spend the money on a used custom before that.

Can they do this? For $500 they should.

Mine were $800 but I have a really bad script, but that's still a whole lot less than most high end cues. My son says I look like Ankin Skywalker at the pod races. I really like them so far, only time will tell will tell but I think theses are going to work out well.

That sounds great.

Has anyone here used these BEFORE having lazix surgery to "dial in" the best correction for pool? I spent a few years using disposable contacts of various corrections before I had my surgery. It seems these glasses would have sped up that process.

They look awesome but I stand with my chin right over the cue so I would be looking over the top of them all the time. I either have to wear contacts or buy the huge upside down looking glasses.

The size is definitely a limiting factor. Now if they had some nice 8" round lens we would be set! We would look like we were walking around with small plates on our faces! But damn it! We would be able to see clearly while shooting!

I guess they didn't work very well when you tried to play pool with them. That's cool, back to the Canadian guy for me.

These are shooting glasses. Do they make them to see 9ft and under?

I'll tell you. I bought a pair of those glasses, put them on, and I was blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other.
While at the poolhall I inadvertently made a ball on the table next to mine and won the game for some guy. He split the pot with me, but his opponent threatened to beat the crap out of me.
I walked out of the poolroom, stumbled into traffic and was hit by a retired librarian riding a bicycle. Even with a concussion she was able to hit me with her handbag, breaking my glasses.
I think I'll call Dr. Harris, in Canada. :)

There's a better option, bigshooter.

Here are glasses (Decot Hy-Wyds) that are ideal for playing pool, and of course, you can wear them for all other occasions as well because they're very good-looking glasses. (The inventor's name is Decot.) You can get them with or without the adjustable bridge feature (raises and lowers bridge to whatever height you prefer).

They're made in Arizona and sold worldwide. Read about the glasses by clicking on these 4 links:

http://www.sportglasses.com/content/Billiards.htm

http://www.sportglasses.com/Default.asp

http://www.sportglasses.com/content/General_Info_Frames.htm

http://www.sportglasses.com/cart/products/39/Lenses.htm

Some pool pros like Howard Vickery and others (and folks in other "accurate aiming" sports like archery, hunting, target shooting, as you’ll read) wear them because they maximize your field of vision more generously from side-to-side and up and down than any other glasses available anywhere.

There’s no frame obstruction whatsoever in your view. Besides being wide and high (as well as amply low), they have a unique, patented adjustable bridge that enables you to adjust the vertical viewing field more than a half inch beyond the already high normal position to perfectly suit whatever aiming sport you engage in.

Most pool pros get the clear lenses because outdoor sun glare is not a factor in pool, but some like a slight tint because they say they can see the ball edges better if they play in a place that has a lot of glare from the lighting.

You'll need to send them your optical prescription naturally, for ordering the frame and lenses combination of your choice. These glasses are a perfect product for pool players who regularly wear glasses (and are very suitable for use in daily life).

I paid $165.00 for mine a couple years ago.

This is what I did.

I went to my eye doctor and told him forget what my eyes need for every day eye glasses, This is what I want for playing billiards, I told him I want to see better then 20/20 from 2 to 10 feet the distance of the table. He gave me a very exstensive eye test then gave me the script. I then took the script to a different guy because he was able to make the lens and frame I wanted. Very then wire frame with the biggest lens. they are so big I dont see anything shooting through them. The eye test cost me $60 and $220 to have the glasses made Best $280 I ever spent WOW They are great..... For those who live around the Lowell ma area the best part is the guy who made them is at the Salem N.H flea market every Saturday and Sunday....

So, how did the glasses work for you playing pool?

Yeah they work great. The only problem is cleaning them, the removable lenses and the fixed lenses. Gotta wear my other glasses to see if the new ones are clean but yeah they are pricey but way zoot.
