what makes you positive its a joss? it does look like a joss.. and the inlays look like joss's style but i dont recall ever seeing one like that before.. and it could be a custom made one for a customer because of the white joint.. looks like it could be ivory but hard to tell from the pictures..

The joint and butt has been replaced and yes it is ivory . I know a lot Joss cues but i saw this one only one more time . The other one has still the Joss logo butt ...
Really would appreciate to know what modell that is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imo there would be a stamp somewhere on that cue to identify its a Joss, the solid black rings looks right for a Joss but I never seen a Joss with those type of joints

Now that I look at the butt cap it seems to me it looks to long to be a Joss but I may be wrong.

Butt and joint are not original . They have been changed into ivory ! The original buttcap had has a joss logo ....

Once you modify the cue that much, it's no longer a Joss really.

I don't think I have ever seen a Joss with those types of points, but it would be in their lower range, new would be about $250 I'm guessing, maybe $280.

This Joss 204 has similar work around the wrap but is a bit more intracate for just over $300. http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/cues/joss/joss_jos_204.htm

That joss is an older modell and the modifications changed nothing . It is just a little more stiff ! Balancepoint is still the same and it is 19,5oz ... played with a vollmer shaft it is amazing ....

I guess you have the original Joss wood in the cue, not sure what "changed nothing" would be. It's like someone taking a Dell computer, replacing the motherboard and CPU, but keeping the same case. It's not a Dell computer anymore.

Once you change the joint, it's a different hitting cue. Especially if you don't use the original shafts. Those older Joss shafts are super, I had a 20 yr old Joss and that thing hit better than any other Joss I tried. The shaft had some really good qualities to it.

You should email Dan and ask. He would probably remember it if it is custom.
