I never heard of him, sometimes it's better to get there from the B side anyway. But on a 7' table $hit happens. Johnnyt

Taylor was 2nd to Skyler Woodward at the Chinook Winds event in March. He's in 12th place on the Mosconi Cup points list.

[Edit -- 12th place in MC points prior to the US Open 10-Ball, where he finished 9th/12th]

Taylor Anderson started just like SVB did....leagues....
...and he's got a younger brother who shares the passion for pool.

Shane was not going to be the only one to go this route

This is a comedic reference to a post after the Chinook tourney, TK can play w anyone, I'm surprised Johnny hasn't heard of him being your so close, and 7 ftr 9ftr that's an uninformed comment. In the good nature of my post, if you haven't heard of him yet, you embarrass somebody !!! TopShooter is gaining great experience against some very good competition !!! And those players know who he is, which is a great compliment to his talent. Now he has to play Sky, just gets easier in that rare air !!

You guys need to pay way more attention to the top 100 USA players on fargorate. Then you wouldn't have had to ask who tk is.

Got to play this young fella a couple of years ago at the US Amateurs in Tampa. I was so impressed with his demeanor and game, I talked about him when I got home (upstate NY)to everyone I knew who loved pool. IMO he was a young Dennis Hatch, the way he moved around the table and pocketed balls. I was very fortunate to get bye him only because I played very well. There was no give up in him!

Even complimented his game to his parents who were traveling with him. I believe he was only 18 or 19 at the time. He went on to a third place finish a year or two after this which is worthy of recognition.

Been watching him develop into a formidable young pro while under the radar and not well known yet as evidenced by the above comments. But believe me, this young man will become a household name in the billiard world in short order.

He is talented, hungry, fearless and a gentlemen with respect for the game. A combination that can't miss. Wish you the all the best TA.

He comes to Colorado Springs to play in the APA US Amateur every year. Anyone who thinks he's a barbox specialist has no clue what they're talking about. Kid is a monster.

Lost to Oscar on the b-side.

Shane needs to win more 7 matches to reach the Finals, I think.

If he lost on the B side wouldn't he be out?

Unless there is a c side. :)

Yes, Taylor Anderson is out of the event.

Van Boening would have to win 9 more matches to win the event.

I have seen Taylor play alot of times whether it be gamble match at shooters or midwest 9ball event there. And imho, until he gets his anger issues under control he will never get the the ultimate top level. He has broken several cues in anger by slamming them down in disgust and or on purpose in anger etc during matches. And if he can get his mental game under control, which I'm sure all agree is the most important part in any athletes advancement in any game. Just my 2 cents. As a spectator.

Wow, must have developed some bad mental habits as he has grown older. Didn't see any of that a few years ago. That surely needs fixin' if he is to move forward.

It's a stage many developing players get to....it's dissatisfaction with yourself.
....the young players who are vain about how well they play often stop their progress.
I know a world snooker champion who was a cue-breaker as a teenager....
....he later became known for his decorum at the table.

I worked at a pro shop since the age of twelve....at seventeen, I thought I was too good
to score over eighty....became a club thrower....got over it and became a better golfer.

....Keep striving, Taylor

Yeah really. Lol. John McEnroe is the only person I've ever seen get out of control mad and actually go to another level of whoop ass. :)
