52 entrants, I guess players arent wanting to incurr the expenses of traveling to Vegas.

Winner's side final 8:

Shane vs Josh Roberts
Leevan vs Rodney

Dennis vs Nick Malaj

If they had put the U.S. Open Ten Ball and Eight Ball back to back the fields would have been bigger. That week break in between probably caused a lot of guys to go home (pretty expensive hanging out in Vegas with nothing to do). The three Challenge events offered little incentive for a player to stay. Maybe they will rethink that for next year.

the update is the stream is not working well again. weird that the free streams for other events are so much better than this ppv

And if he also wins this one without ever seeing the one-loss side -- that would be extra brutal.

US OPEN 8 ball 2017
First Place Prize $13,500.00

The U.S. dollar experienced an average inflation rate of 2.54% per year between 1988 and 2017. $15,000 in the year 1988 is worth $31,004.73 in 2017.

The players should just boycott these events until some sponsors step up...either that or boycott the equipment...play with bar cues or even broom sticks like I plan on doing. This screenshot is from the Brunswick Challenge in 1988...not even the U.S open.

I think Brags' mother was a good person....but I'm thinking he made her cry a lot.

A boycott isn't the brightest idea I've heard...it's like employees going on strike when
the company is in economic straits...thereby forcing it into bankruptcy .....
...which has happened..then the now jobless employees are looking for sympathy and
blaming the company's owners for their problems.

They did need a shot clock. Alex shoots far too slowly without one. Having said that, I was near the front row of the action at Griff's last night and it was a very exciting comeback. I'm very happy to have seen it live

A match clock would be even better. Slow play is a detriment to the game. Here is a match between alex and morra...enjoy. Plenty of time to make a sandwich in between shots.
