I used to use photobucket but they don't allow sharing any longer unless you pay. Is there a way to insert pictures in a PM another way? It does not have a manage attachment function that I can see.

Thanks,
Dave

The only way I know is through 3rd party imaging like Photobucket, who by the way is charging now for 3rd party hosting.
It's one of the reasons so many people want to text or email pics when communicating via pm.

Once they get the volume, they too will charge.

1. Create a thread here in AZ land in the Test Area and post your pics: http://forums.azbilliards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8

2. Once you've created your thread with your pics, left click on a desired picture and click "copy URL/image address"

3. When you go to you compose your pm, click on the "insert image" tab above the text box and paste your image URL/address. Then click OK. Image address should be inserted.

4. Check message preview to see if your image was inserted

5. Send pm :)

Why create a test page?

If you know how to do that then just put the url in the PM from wherever the pics are hosted.

IMGUR and Google will host for free. But even AZB will host your pics. You have photo albums here on AZB.

All you have to do is put the address of a pic in a message. Really. Just right click and copy the address of the pic then paste it in any message whether a post or PM.

If you want it to be seen without clicking on it then use this: copy address here

If you just copy the address, then the viewer will just have to click on it to see it. No big deal.

You don't need to use email or texts or Facebookor even an 3rd party image host...everything you need is right here. And it isn't difficult.

I use a hidden (only me) album on Facebook for digital billboards. It doesn't reveal the account or location, just displays the image.

These are the steps:

1) Add the photo to the album on Facebook.
2) Click on it to view
3) Right-click on the picture and select, "Copy Image Location" (assuming you use Firefox as a browser)
4) Use the image tag / "Insert Picture" button in your PM and paste the URL.

Yes, this is easy to use once I found the "get shares links" option after moving my pointer over the 'down arrow' next to the copy address on the picture. This provided the link ("BBCode (Forums)") to embed the photo in the text instead of making the viewer click on a link. Thanks.

This was exactly what I was doing in photobucket (more or less), but was harder to find.

I will try some of the other suggestions. Thanks again all!

This works but too much work for temporary result (thank you for the suggestion) - Facebook or igmur seems to be better because the pictures will remain in one place for future use.

The highlighted was the key for me to find the correct address to copy, many thanks!

Facebook is easy as you said, thanks. And the good thing is that many of my pics are already there, but they are harder to find - Maybe I need to create a separate folder.

From Michael Webb in another thread. I just wanted to capture this in this thread too, very simple solution:

User CP
Pictures and albums
1- create the album
2- add pictures
3- select public view

If you copy the url code. It will post the link.
If you copy the bb code, it will post the picture.
Hope this helps.
By the way. If you just want an album for people on your friends list and moderators. Select private view on the album.

I was one of them. Took me a little time to figure it out. Especially from my cell. I was told I couldn't do it from a cell. I believe you said I could. That convinced me to figure it out.
