I would love to know the story behind this...air barrel? sharking? hustling? Brings a whole new spin on "I'll shoot your liver out":D

from the article:

The gunfire erupted shortly after 8 p.m. Birmingham police said the suspect - now identified as Perry - got into an argument with the 58-year-old victim, whose name has not been released. Authorities said Perry and the victim have known each other for years, and often argue about a pool game that happened at least two years ago.

They were arguing over whether you look at the object ball or cue ball last.

It's amazing to me that in this close range gun battle nobody got hit. Perry must shoot that gun like he shoots pool, which got him in trouble in the first place.

I heard it was over whether a female of the same fargorate as a man can win in a long gambling set.

The guy WAS hit. He wasn't killed, though.

That means he's a better shot than most cops - they only hit people when they are right next to the door/window

Either way, the man will be wrong.

Several years before during a game of 9 ball, the old man farted real loud, young boy missed the money ball & said old man sharked him. Monday night the feud came to a head when they ran into one another at McD's & the young fool asked him if he remembered sharking him out of that $2.00, the old man heisted his leg and farted. Youngun lost his temper & got shot! lol

Should have been packing a 9mm, with that new Revo barrel!!! Dumbass. Bullet has no deflection, and is 15% more accurate, even if you have Parkinson's .

I used to work in North St Louis. An old guy told me one day "you're gonna get shot out here - you the wrong color to be in this neighborhood anyway"

I blew it off as just a drunk guy talking. I saw him a couple times after that and he was okay. Then about six months later he was shooting at a woman and missed the woman but hit a young girl in the neck.

The worst kind of fool is an old fool. A young fool might change. Old fool will remain a fool.

All this shit over a Two Dollar game of pool?

I don't know what this was about but it was not the money.

Perhaps both of these idiots should just shoot themselves.

If I got 13 shots with my Predator like I do with my 9mm Hi Power Standard, I'd never miss.

Reminds me of this rifleman episode.

-Kat,

Good for you! I've spent enough time at the range to see them look like they used a sawed off shotgun at 20'

The victim wouldn't be one if he shot when he was being attacked with a chair. But I bet he has played that over in his mind countless times.

I had a guy that was a regular at the pool room I went to come up and ask me if I remembered a game that had happened 25 or 30 years ago.
I thought it was pretty weird, because he had only said something about it once, right after it happened, and I thought he understood .
Any way, I told him the same thing I had said 25 or 30 years ago, I don't owe you , Jack does.
By now, Jack has been dead for about 15 years.
He gave me a goofy kind of smile and went on about his business.
A couple of weeks later , they find him in his basement where he had blown his brains out.
Turns out he had cancer and decided to pass on the chemo and cutting.
I still wonder, if I had said something different that day, if he wasn't thinking of taking me with him?
The grand total on this fiasco was $14.00 if I remember correctly.

Maybe you should have covered the $14. No reason to have a 25 year grudge for $14 no matter who's "right".

I didn't mean it was good that someone got shot. From what I've seen on AZ in my short time here, cte has a very staunch group of defenders, always on the prowl for possible anti-cte comments. The defense is often vicious, and the debate does seem to rage on. So I thought Koop's post was funny. No harm, no foul....just kidding around. :)
