Other than being a great bank pool player, Danny has got the bug for 3 cushion billiard. He averaged about 0.700 last time in a practice game at Dirby City 2007...

And he certainly mad good use of 3-C knowledge during World 14.1 Championship 2007. He has made several shots like this with great stroke and accurate controls throughout the event. He is definitely in the Cloud of 14.1.

Wow, it takes a quality stroke like his to get that CB long enough to hit the rack without fear of dumping it right in the upper left corner pocket.

Very nice stroke by a great player, but with this slightly undesirable angle on the three in the side, I feel the pack can be broken much more effectively by playing the three in the corner and coming one rail hard into the stack. Pretty close choice.

Danny mentioned that the equipment was tight in another post so I think that may be why he didn't go for a corner shot, you'd really have to pound it with an angle like this. The sharper angle on the 3 in the side means even though there's more travel you probably don't have to hit so hard and you're coming into the stack at a happier angle.

I don't see the table. Some posts it shows up, some it doesn't.

Wonder what kind of breaks we might see next year...

"Honestly, I play more pool nowadays then carom. I was following the World 14.1 Championship online. I really want to learn that game well. I ran over a hundred once, but usually I keep getting stuck at 50." chuckled Blomdahl after his win.
