Alex broke with no shot on the one, plays an awsome safety. Louis is forced to shoot a 3 rail kick at the one ball with 2 bridges stacked together. Makes a good contact but no balls driven to a rail.

Alex takes a ball in hand, runs out, ties the score 5-5.

Ooops I jinxed Alex. He is now down 5 to 8 but is on the table now with a chance to reduce the lead to 2.

oh my god, Alex scratches on his break and gives ball in hand to Ulrich but he messes it and returns the table to Alex. He now has a good chance to make it only a 1 point lead by Ulrich.

I was hoping that someone would jump up and take Alex when I posted this. I figure you could probably tell that with the line put on it.

You can't hook anybody around here.;)

BTW- best of luck to Mr. Rim. I enjoy watching him play and I respect his game a lot. He is playing great right now.

Rack 15: Alex scratches on the break, but Louis hooked himself for the 2 ball. Ball in hand for Alex and he runs out. 8-7 Louis

Exciting match!!! What should have been 9 to 6 in favor of Ulrich has now been reduced to only a 1 point lead. Score is now 8 to 7 Ulrich but with Alex ono the table looking to tie the game.

BTW, they just announced that John Schmidt has been beaten by James Walden with a score of 11 to 1!!! The 2006 champion now has to defend his title from the loser's side.

Louis' safety is answered by another safety from Alex. On the 3rd rounds of safeties from both players, Louis has it locked it up this time...holding breath

This is only the mildest of upsets. At Turning Stone, Ulrich beat Shane Van Boening 9-4, Stevie Moore 9-4 and Dennis Orcullo 9-6 en route to earning the hot seat. Louis brings incredibly strong form into this event, and this result probably won't shock many.

Wow, never seen Ulrich play, thanks Billiardsclub. Good match, was closer than the scores indicates. I think the turning point was when Alex decided to go for the 2 instead of playing a save.

Louis is an awesome player! His wife Connie plays damn good to! They are both class act, good people. Hopefully we will see many wins from BOTH (pick up your cue, Connie) of them in the future.
