OH SNAP! Congrats Mike!

Edit: I have to say given the magnitude of this announcement I'm astonished your post is standard size, font, bold, color, etc... Where's the flair?

Congratulations to Mike Janis! That is wonderful news. For all the work you put into this racket, it has finally paid off!

Now I am bummed, though, because I cannot find any details. I am sure it will be forthcoming. With AzBilliards Main Page down, I am lost.

Billiards Digest -- http://www.billiardsdigest.com -- has no mention of it yet.

Pool and Billiards Magazine -- http://www.poolmag.com -- has no mention of it yet.

InsidePOOL Magazine -- http://www.insidepoolmage.com -- has a lot of white space at the top of the front page. I scrolled down to the bottom, but there was no mention of it yet.

On the Break News -- http://www.onthebreaknews.com -- has no mention of it yet.

Come on, Mike. Give us a little peak at what is forthcoming, for the inquiring minds! :p

Jam, while it is HUGE news and nothing less than spectacular even the PR is a little vague. This was done on purpose because this news is what will open the door to many other new things we will be announcing in the near future. Please when reading it rest assured that there is much more to the story than just this 1 PR or for that matter than the last 2 PR's. The other being the Health Insurance PR.

OK, since you asked so politely. Here is a snip from the 1st 2 lines from the PR but note, it is not the complete.

Never mind. I changed my mind.

Now the real work starts. You've worked your hynie off for years and your persistence is bearing fruit. Not many...or any can or did hold up to all the NO's before they got a yes in the billiard world, you did, hope you have a great support group with your task ahead. Congrats again and again, and I hope the industry (BCA) will show support of your accomplishment, did your recent meeting with the board have some impact?:)

Shucks. That's too bad.

Everything always seems to be hush-hush with pool stuff. I was hoping we'd get a little thrill of the upcoming events. :p

You deserve to be excited! We'll be looking forward to another stop in Galesburg next year. I've sure enjoyed Big Bubba and the tournament the last two years. Congratulations Mike. You must be a guy that does things right. It takes integrity to get this kind of a deal done. Tap Tap Tap

Thank you to everyone for your supportive comments.

Please take note that this particular PR information is only part of multi phase plan that will be iniated over the next year.

Thanks again for your support.

Also, please make sure to support Viking Cue.

You could purchase a Viking Cue at your local dealer or just send them a nice letter to info@vikingcue.com.

I would love to enter the one in Monroe. Unfortunately, I will be assisting in running the WPBA tournament in Charlotte that weekend.

Mike. Congratulations on this announcement. Anyone who puts in as much to the game as you have deserves some good things to come your way. Keep up the good work!

$1,000,000 over 10 years.

What was Viking's sponsorship $$$ for the tour over the past several years? Is this a big increase per year?

Nice job on the deal!

Something I have not seen done, that I have seen in the Joss tour. If you win using a Viking cue do they offer a bonus?

I was at a Joss event years ago, and they offered a bonus (I think it was $500) if a player won using a Joss cue. Maybe something Viking could offer to get their cues used in the event.

Steve Tipton and Mark Wilson are the tournament directors for the event. Steve can't make it until Sunday the 8th, so I will be assisting Mark on Friday and Saturday at the preliminary rounds being held at the Smokin' Cue. Please do come up and say hi.

I didn't realize that Viking Cues was a company large enough to be a sponsor for this kind of money. Mike, I wish you and the Viking 9 Ball Tour the best of luck. I'll try to play in one of your events if you get close to my area in the near future.
