    I take it you didn't get to see them live. Read that promoters would have to play the National Anthem to get crowds to calm down b/c the Kangaroos drew so much heat.

    just the kangaroos -they were supposed to be really mean and fans allegedly through knives at them in the ring.

    Gene Stanlee was "Mr. America". Do The Fabulous Kangaroos, The Bastien Brothers, Tolos Brothers and Cowboy Bob Ellis also ring a bell?

    Im not sure who hosted and i wasn't a Super fan but i remember Happy Humphrey, Rocca, Gene Starr (think that was it'The All American') Haystacks Calhoun, Graham Bros, Sammartino,the Indian etc. Wrestling was fairly regional and 95% of what i saw was from the Northeast.

    Hey Nostroke did you watch Capitol Wrestling hosted by Ray Morgan in the late '50s and early '60s? I came across one of your old posts mentioning Dr. Jerry Graham and an Indian wrestler (who I assume was Chief Big Heart during a search for Antonino Rocca.
