Here is the perfect travel lathe for anyone who wants to replace tips/ferrules at tournaments, etc. This lathe uses the CueSmith Midsize lathe headstock and motor, mounted on a Taig lathe bed and secured to a 3/4" wood work base which is 12" x 18". I have used the motor/headstock for the past year or so...it is in great shape. The Taig lathe bed, etc is all brand new.

It includes everything you see in the photos:
-Lathe headstock...CueSmith
-CueSmith motor...this is a STRONG 3/4hp motor with variable speed control
-Compound cross-travel
-Cutting tools
-Tailstock w/3/8" Jacobs chuck
-Live centers..concave and pointed
-Allen wrenches, etc
-Maintenance pins for 3/8x10, 5/16x14 and 5/16x18 shafts
-Foot pedal for variable speed control
-One steady rest
-Misc....
...if you add a 2' bed extension to this lathe, and you can do shaft cleaning/repair, wraps, and a ton of other stuff...this setup is a money-maker.

PENDING SALE......

is this still available? and what is the bore thru the headstock...thanks

I have quite a bit of interest, but it is still available at this time. The bore is the standard CueSmith size...I think it is 15-17mm. Perfect size for tip/ferrule work. The included male maintenance pins make shaft work easy..with an extension, you could do wraps and butt work with a female maintenance pin set. Brianna sells a nice set that has male/female ends.
