Nice cases. The case you listed as a real J Flowers is not a real one though. It is a J.EF Q Case made by Jay Flowers and Nora Van Horn. J.Flowers is the brand name of the tribute cases made by Sterling Gaming/John Barton (me) to pay homage to the work done by Jay and Nora. Anyone interested in the history can read about them at Chris Tate's website www.palmercollector.com and at our website here www.jbcases.com/jflowers.html

Just wanted to prevent brand confusion and allow your prospective buyers a chance to research the history on the excellent and rare example of a J.EF Q Case that you posted.

You guys have all the great stuff in your vaults.

Well then its a real Flowers case. BTW unlike your example, this one is hand signed under the handle.

Unlike your tributes and cases, someone over 6 years old made this case.

I'll make sure that when I see you hawking a JB case, I mention in all the threads that you didn't make it. Which means in a nutshell, if you're saying this isn't a real J Flowers, WTF do we call your cases?

Oh gee didn't mean to ruffle your feathers there Joe. Just setting the record straight on the BRAND name. You see just because YOU call the cases made by Nora Van Horn "Flowers" cases doesn't mean that this is the proper BRAND name. Just as it wouldn't be right to call a Palmer cue a Balner cue because it as made by Eugene Balner.

The BRAND name is J.EF. Q Cases. Nora Van Horn put that on each case she made along with her maker's mark. Jay Flowers did not sign the cases.

Jay Flowers also did not MAKE the cases. He had them made. So when Mark sent his leather to have it made into a case it is likely that Nora Van Horn made it if the case was made before 1994.

I don't know why you are being a jerk about it. Well, I take that back, I do know why. Because you're a jerk. In person you are decent enough but online you're a jerk. It's ok, that seems to be how a lot of people are on the net.

In any event you have a very nice J.EF Q Case for sale. It's unique and well preserved. I hope you sell it. The one I own which came to me from the late Smorgasbored, Doug Wiley, was purchased by Doug directly from Jay Flowers in Tampa. I don't know if Nora Van Horn made it or not but it definitely was made for Jay as it has his name on it and in any case I don't know why you even bring it up because it's not for sale and likely never will be.

Feel free to jump into my threads. Whenever you do it will simply bump the thread by allowing me to shoot down your bigotry and lies. And the added bonus is that your online jerk character will be on full display. Would you like me to make it easy for you and list several recent threads you can start with? You know it must really burn your ass to know that my six year olds can make such great cases. And they do it standing on their heads.

:-)

Good luck with the sale Joe. I am sure that the J.EF Q Case you have will find a good home. Best of luck to you in life as well and I look forward to seeing you again next year at the SBE.

Well John, there is setting the record straight in a decent way and the come across as an a$$hole way, which is your way. You said it wasn't a real J Flowers and in fact, it is a real J Flowers case. If Nora was making cases for him, that's fine. Has no bearing on the case, as far as I am concerned. Paul Mottey cues worked on by John Williams or James White are still Mottey cues. The difference between those two companies and your company is we all know the names behind them.
The only thing I bought up was unlike the logo in your pics.. this one is handwritten, and probably by Nora herself. It's in blue ink and actually says Handcrafted by NVH under the handle. I had to look to make sure it was marked.
The only reason I am a jerk is because I don't let hypocrites who bail on their country of origin for cheap labor get away with spewing garbage. BTW you have real talented 6 year olds, no one has ever disputed that.

You still don't get it? You're still doing the same thing. "J FLOWERS" is a name I made up.

Jay Flowers was the person behind J.EF Q Cases. The cases he and Nora Van Horn Horn made are often referred to as "Flowers" and "Jay Flowers" not J FLOWERS.

I thought I explained it to you politely enough. You know full well that you were being nasty with your title calling it a "REAL" J Flowers case. You could have said "original" Flowers case. Or original Flowers by Nora Van Horn, but no, you chose to take the opportunity to be a jerk about it. I politely pointed out the brand name discrepancy to you.

So again it is not a "real" J FLOWERS case because Jay and Nora did not make such a brand. It is a REAL J.EF Q Case made by Nora Van Horn and marketed by Jay Flowers. And it is a FINE example at that.

Please save the flag-waving bigoted nonsense. I shoot you full of holes every time you try to wrap yourself in the flag and it ruins a perfectly good flag. Good luck with your sale, try to learn your history so that you can accurately describe your products.

Regardless if I use J Flowers, or Jay Flowers, or J.EF Q cases, it doesn't matter. Its a real J, or Jay, Or J. EF case. sorry if you don't like it. You want to call one original, then go sell your own.

Flag waiving and bigoted? LOL No I wasn't being nasty, and I had NO inking that you came up with J Flowers, or that it even matters. But regardless, the one I have is a real original and that's that.

You couldn't shoot anything full of holes, period.

So again, go back to copying, copyright infringement, and just plain old stealing, but then again in China this is the culture.

Please stay out of my for sale threads.
