I hear so many players make disparaging remarks about 8 ball. I think this is strange. I contend that 8 ball is a good game. Here's a poll to prove my point.

It's not what I think is a good game but it's what you think is a good game. If you enjoy playing 8 ball, then it's a good game. If 40,000 vote it's a bad game, and you still enjoy playing it, then it's a good game to you. But I'll go along with you and vote that it's a good game too.

Just kidding. I just read that if you lose the wheat, you lose the weight; thus, a wheat diet that has no wheat in it.
I voted playing 8-ball. Most people play and understand 8-ball than the other pocket billiard games too!

Nothing funnier than someone saying the game is too easy but they can't and don't ever run a rack. We recently had a small seniors tournament and watching the 8 ball matches it is also apparent they are lots of players who don't have a clue about strategy.
We do play on 9'ers.

8 Ball is a better game than 9 Ball.
Properly played 8 Ball has more strategy, imagination, creativity and nuance than 9 or 10 Ball. Of the major games it falls just below Straight Pool and One Pocket but above 9 and 10 Ball in these regards.
I guess I prefer pattern games.

8 ball is a great game. Try it on a 10 footer with ultra tight pockets and you will change your opinion. I think the poll is invalid. Spam on a hot plate and thunderbird should have been options.

I'm with you on this one...8-ball is a lot more complicated than 9-ball.
No surprise to me that Danny Diliberto, who plays fine 14.1 and 1-hole,
won the world 8-ball championship on his first attempt...I've seen good
9-ball players get migraines playing 8-ball.
..but I'm not so sure a poll is going to influence my choice of games....

Have you ever seen anyone play 8 ball for big bucks? Eight ball is a bit harder to play than nine ball. The choices were not too good to vote! Nine ball and One pocket all the way!
