    A Question For Chopdoc

Definitely looks like an Adam but I couldn't find it in any of my catalogs either. Mid-Late 70's I would guess.

Any way of making leather thinner for wrap

Cut the wrap groove deeper to match the leather (and hope they never want to go back to linen because filling that wrap groove with epoxy and recutting it is a pain,) OR sand the wrap itself.

    Hang ’Em High (2018)

My experience has been that it is a temporary fix at best. I think we all have discovered that wood is going to do what wood is going to do. I've used similar jigs (I think it would be just as easy to build one as to order one,) and the cues returned back to their warped states in a short period...

What to use to secure a bumper?

Option 1 would be to order a new bumper. They can be purchased from multiple places including directly from Meucci. If it's the pill style bumper, Meucci would probably be your best choice. Option 2 would be to go old school and just put some masking tape around the stem to increase the OD...

    Unknown pawn shop find

Or at least an experienced "vendor" if it's an "aftermarket" piece as suggested before (i.e. Prathers, Schmelke etc.)

    Unknown pawn shop find

The butt cap tenon is glossy which would seem to indicate some sort of chemical adhesion. You can even see it in the grooves. Just because glues tend to not like to bond with delrin doesn't mean that a LOT of folks haven't tried. Hobbiest construction? Probably so. Finish over the delrin and...

    Unknown pawn shop find

Interesting thought although I seem to remember most of those were non-veneer points. To be honest, I'm not 100% certain this isn't a full spliced conversion. There's a 2" rattle ring at the A joint after all. Depending on the full splice, you could easily cut the forearm at 28.5 inches, the...

Palmer Margo #5 Value (shop cue)

I'll see if I can find them. They're in a box from the move to new house and shop.

    Flat Faced Joint Question

So let's say you're making a full flat faced joint with a 3/8-10 pin or some other larger pin diameter such as the Schick joint below. Is the joint threaded on or just epoxied on over a tenon with maybe some grooves cut in? I can absolutely see threading it, but with a material such as ivory...

    Sneaky Pete

I don't think there is a "right" answer to that question. If it has ringwork or a buttcap, I call it a 'fancy sneaky." That's just terminology though. I don't personally care if you call it "zaboo the wonder chicken." You make very nice full splice cues and they stand on their own regardless of...

    Sneaky Pete

I've never known Dean to be anything but 101% upfront and honest with a wicked sense of humor. But that wasn't the point of your thread. It's hard to really get a true gauge on a sneaky. The hole (pilot) at the top of the 3/8-10 is really interesting. If I were going to do it, I would start...

New finish without messing with the wrap area possible?

Same. I've done it, but I hate doing it. A wrap is probably $50 bucks for linen from most builders and repair people and the time invested in trying to save it wouldn't warrant that kind of investment. Now if it was Cortland...that's a different story.
