A larger diameter shaft pushes or squirts the cue ball more. Since a masse' shot is squirting the ball and then spin takes over, the larger tip or shaft diameter is usually preferred. For me, the mass at the tip and stiffness of the shaft makes all the difference. I like a Karomi tip for a...

I found a video of him that shows his grip at http://www.robertorojas.com.mx/rr.htm. I'll have to try that.

I don't have any pictures of a 2 finger closed bridge. It's just a closed bridge with the index and middle finger wrapped around the shaft, instead of only using the index finger. I'll try to get a picture this weekend. I'm having a hard time imagining this Roberto Rojas grip. Is he just...

Yow, I noticed that sometimes you use, what I call an air bridge. If the cue ball is very far from the edge of the table, I have found that wrapping two fingers around the shaft helps my accuracy quite a bit. Have you tried using a two finger closed bridge?

Sixballrun, Do you have any pictures of the converted cue? Did you put a joint in or leave it as a one piece?

Yow, Thanks for posting some pics of your masse' cue. Did it take very long to adjust to using your Dieckman cue? I'm guessing there is probably a five to seven ounce difference in the weight. Gene www.crowncues.biz

Very nice video, Eric. I never got a good look at the cue though. Hope you have time to post a picture or two this weekend. How heavy is your cue? Gene

Thank you for the compliment on the website. I don't think any pro or name players shoot with any of the masse cues I've made. We started taking my Granddaughter to the pool hall once a week. When she got old enough to hold a cue, we let her shoot some balls. We haven't been taking her out...

The sawtooth or crown design is a Crown Cue trademark and it is my own design. I have put it on all the cues I've made, except one. All of the masse cues I've made have been 41 to 44 inches long and have a 3/8-10 SS pin. I don't think I've made one lighter than 23 ozs. Gene...

I can't get the link to work. I loaded the page (www.cuemaker.com) and ran a search also, with no luck at finding 199906b1long.JPG. Would you check it and see if it works for you? Thanks, Gene

Here's the pic of my masse cues, plus two other cues I've been working on. The top masse cue is made to fit in a cue case. The shaft is 29" long and the butt is short enough to fit in the long pocket of the case. It has a 14mm tip and is light enough to be within BCA equipment regulations...

I think I've read everything Dieckman has online at least twice. I have printed out some of his articles or paragraphs and like to read over them every once in while. The shaft straightness thing was interesting, but I think if a shaft rolls straight, it's straight enough to shoot with. I...

I made them. I'll try to get pics of both of them soon. The pics I take almost always turn out blurry or something, so I'm waiting for someone else to take the pics for me. Gene L.
