I'll second that a McDermott g-core is a great stick all around. I've got many others, and still like shooting with my McDermott on and off as it has a particular feel.

the only mushrooming I got at all was with a soft that I used for breaking as well as shooting while leaving it full length, and even that was only a minor amount and after the first couple of weeks it stabilized and didn't mushroom any further

this is really important in the skill level calculations as well. If you take 2 people who play the exact same # of innings against exact same skill level opponents and score the exact same points, their skill levels will vary based on the number of safeties. More or less (not precisely) but...

you are best off joining a league and a team, and then asking the other teammates if you can borrow their cue to shoot with to see what you like.

Its a useless comparison. you don't shoot anything like that, so even if we could say that the cue model ____ would be the best with the robot shooting it, it very well could be worse than other cues with you shooting it. There are far too many options in play style, and the cue / tip combo...
