Why do people in the pool hall come up to you and want to play you but want weight?

The only way I can even imagine entertaining a request such as this would be if the two of you were first, friends and second, played with some frequency. This would mean that both of you likely know how things would turn out when playing straight up. It is of course done pretty regularly with...

Have the Aramith Tournaments been discontinued?

Good to know, thanks. Can you tell me what Duramith technology is? I ask simply because their advertising says that the lesser ball (Pro Cup) uses the highest end phenolic resin. Could simply be that they haven't updated their site or it might be similar to the way car wax manufacturers...

    sandbagging

Sandbagging, known by it's other name is Hustling. Oddly enough, many don't consider hustling to be cheating, simply bad manners. The thought process here is very similar to, caveat emptor or let the buyer beware. Some believe it's a dog eat dog world and if the opponent can't spot the practice...

Have the Aramith Tournaments been discontinued?

When I looked, it appears that the balls for that you are considering are still available on Aramith's site. It's been a couple of months ago and though not specifically what you are requesting, I picked up a set at Seyberts under the name of the Pro Cup Value Pack for $185 shipped. Aramith...

Tennis arm / tennis elbow operation?

Mine had gotten to the point that it had a mass of scar tissue as well as some what was described as "congealed substance" under my tendons. They did a release and reroute in both arms. I was hesitant to have it done and went through the steroid injection thing. I still do that every 4 months in...

Tennis arm / tennis elbow operation?

I've had a number of joint related surgeries (including replacement, knees) in my life. Most of the time you look back on these type of surgeries and realize you've lost something. You're just not as good as you were before the problem began. Tennis elbow/arm surgeries are the two surgeries...

    "El colmilio blanca

Beautiful! No way I could make myself play a round with that cue, wouldn't even want the oil from my hands on it. Just couldn't do it. Simply beautiful cue, it reeks of $$$ signs.

    Prather-Sowder full splice player

The blue is awesome. I like the layout of that cue as well as any I've seen.

    Best break cue materials?

Nothing wrong with running on the edge but if you're breaking balls and cues you might be looking for something with a bit less than the hardest tip available. Regardless of which cue you choose I'm sure this could be a consideration/modification.

While attending a trade show in San Diego a number of years ago, I came across a dish that sounded totally disjointed but it had half a dozen different foods that I really liked in it. I took a chance and tried it. As I remember, it was called Lobster Delmar (?). It had bacon wrapped lobster and...

Ding, ding, ding. That scar on the cheek would appear to be a winner.

Any good American made cues under 400 dollars?

Are you saying that OB's shafts are of Chinese manufacture?

    SP_Predator BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I know this doesn't make the situation right but doesn't Predator warranty that shaft against warping? EDIT: My bad! I just looked at their site and they specifically say they do not guarantee against warping. Sorry for the silly question.
