    Cue Lathe from Cowboy Billiards

I'm starting to worry now. I got one of his Sharpshooter shafts and it arrived bent! It's still being "processed" between Pos Malaysia and USPS but some of noises Bob is making is not encouraging at all. Wish I got a Pred instead. Save me all the trouble. :(

New Hollywood pool movie trailer released (actually really good)

Does anyone know what's happened to the 9-Ball movie with Jennifer Baretta and Jeanette Lee? Or was it some parody all along?

Any other pool halls charge like this?

Oooh OK, I thought single player rate was cheaper! Over here in Malaysia typical rate for a table is RM18 to 24 an hour, depending if it's a normal or tournament quality table. When we say 'single' or 'solo' rate it means 50% off - RM9 to 12. But the joints here are getting really creative...

    Viking Cues...........

Any updates on what happened to Viking? Was doing my annual equipment "upgrade" at my local dealer when I was told NO more new Vikings coming. No idea how old his stock is, but looking at the Vikings he had I honestly have to say they didn't seem to represent value for money in the budget to...

    Aramith balls

True, but 3 amigos (myself and 2 others) somehow found distinct differences when we tested the two sets. Maybe age has a part to do with it. Both sets we had were old and well used but still in very good condition and we had them polished before taking them on "tour". Now wish someone can do...

    Aramith balls

Just read this. Not sure how old the Cents I borrowed are - they came in a white/blue box as opposed to the current red/black design. So from all the posts here can we conclude: 1.) The SAPs are the best value for $. 2.) Duramiths actually do play a bit better than Cents?

    Aramith balls

Balls comparison Hope someone can do a similar test like this with the new Duramiths and report the results. I recently managed to borrow a set of Super Pros from my local pool room and a set of Centennials from a friend and played the two sets on 3 different tables. I found the following...

What does the butt actually do?

I have a Pred 314 shaft and have tried bolting it to both my Players and custom Pinoy cues. Of course there is a difference as the Pinoy cue is slightly heavier and therefore hits harder. But this is not necessarily a good thing as it is harder to control the extra power. So depending on the...

    snooker or pool?

I don't know. I'll post up whatever I can find. It's in December. The South East Asian (SEA) Games is the biggest event in these parts after the Asian Games. But you know it's still pretty small if a country like Laos can afford to host it...

    snooker or pool?

Heheheh, Just to stir the pot a bit more: http://balita.ph/2009/07/24/bscp-forms-dream-team-to-laos-seagames/ For the up coming 2009 SEA Games: "Reyes is set to compete in the carom and English billiards events, where he will team up with Luat and Grandea in the carom." Oh dear, oh dear...

    snooker or pool?

Coming from Malaysia I have the privilage of having both tables side by side in the billiard hall and to change cues and play both at once :) . And most likely lose both as my brain will get stuck at some stage... What many UK and US posters will find hard to understand is that many cueists in...
