My humble high run of 30

Thanks again, everyone. I've gone back to play twice since my high run to see if the magic was there but I've only been able to get to the mid teens 5-6 times with nothing higher than 17. However, it feels like I've made a small jump in my 14.1 game... watching all of the videos posted here and...

First 100+ run at Society Billiards & Bar

That is bewildering; 4.25" pockets have a way of actually shooting balls back at me. I think my high run is 14 on my pool hall's equivalent table... not that I should be a benchmark for many of you.:D Great work, man. -Kevin

My humble high run of 30

Thanks for the encouragement. I've learned a lot just reading this forum and watching the posted runs. If I ever get something worthwhile on tape, I'll be sure to share.

My humble high run of 30

I never post anything but I do read most of yours. Last night I ran 30 balls for the first time, folks (22 was my high run before this). I wasn't even having a very good night (for my level) and missed the first few shots of my first rack. I decided to not re-rack the balls and shoot out the...

    Help with a Joss Cue

Purchased this cue in Spring of 09 used from a guy in Cali. It's turned out great - I love the way it plays but I haven't been able to track any info down about it (model, year, original cost). Any ideas on how to learn more about this particular cue's production? Thanks, everyone.

    The amazing game

Great. Thanks to everyone for the ideas. I'm embarrassed to say I watched Efren/Rempe from the Maine Event tournament again... that's my old pool hall in Portland, Maine before I moved to NC. Its a shame I missed seeing that tourney in person. One last thing: I'm impressed with the community...

    The amazing game

Man, this is exciting. I've been reading the 14.1 posts for a few weeks - staying on the sidelines. I, like most on this forum, believe 14.1 is the most beautiful, difficult, frustrating, and rewarding game. I am so humbled by its challenges. I just started playing pool again semi-regularly...

Why cant i play straight pool.

14.1 instruction I have been playing 14.1 and nothing else for the past 10 months. Watching commentated professional matches and reading a fair amount has helped my game so much. To me, there's no other game like it - and I'm hooked. Ray Martin suggested working with a person who knows how to...
