I feel like I’ve seen that backend before.

Shaft is either not original or has been finished over at some more recent point.

Looks like it’s marked with a “D” inside of the peculiarly constructed butt cap.

Aftermarket, hand-tooled leather wrap with barbed wire borders.

I’m tempted to pull the wrap off and replace it with white/ green linen.

Strongly believe not homemade/hobbyist.

I think the cue probably originally had a linen wrap.

It’s an old cue. Doesn’t seem like the maker was too far behind for the time... A TAD fan, I think.

I think the shaft is not original as the joint collar length is different and the ring is not centered. For some reason I get an Olivier feeling from the joint area, though the buttsleeve is more 60’s/70’s with a touch of Doc Frye to it.

I thought the longer collar was maybe to copy the look of butt cap.
