He'll get a hair closer to the blocking ball on most safes... The "loosey goosey" nature of both Chohan's and Scott Frost's stroke betrays them under pressure. What say you, SJM?

I think you've hit the nail on the head here, Russ.

Scott and Tony may know a shot or technique or two that Dennis hasn't learned yet, but they are well below him in general tactical execution.

Dennis, just like Alex the Lion, has near perfect speed control, and it pays off in spades in one pocket. I think all three play phenomenal position and can complete even the most difficult racks, but as you said, edge to Orcullo on the mind-bendingly tough layouts, which tend to require the most refined angle management and speed control.

As you note, even the slightest difference in fundamentals will manifest itself in race to 40, and Dennis has the edge.

The one area in which Tony or Scott might have a slight edge is in certain specialty shots that are specific to one pocket, like two railers (long-short-pocket) which people who play a lot of one pocket shoot far more often than those who specialize in a different discipline.

… but on the whole, it would be hard to improve on what you've posted, Russ. Well said!

Tony has to keep playing that loosey-goosey what’s makes him dangerous to
a superior all-round player like Dennis.

If he tried to play conservative....he’d take two balls off his game.
Ya gotta dance with the one you came with.

Come off the back of the 3 and lave him behind the 10 (or whatever that is). Very soft hit.
