He explains how important it is to get the correct spin onto the the first object ball (ball #2 in European-speak). Amazingly, the editor of Daly's Billiard Book said that such a thing could not be done although he included Daly's instruction to do so.

i was regularly getting 15 easy right after i read hoppes technique in his book i got last yr
i got a 28 once from it,
reverse english on the 2nd and hit below the center of the cue ball to kill momentum in all 3


now i cant get 7, strange thing

What's your average and highest run now?

I still don't have lots of time to practice yet. So I'm still at my highest of around 15 (doesn't come often as I wish though), average maybe 3-4. Practice makes perfect for sure. :)

oh yes all of last yr i started to take it on seriously, along with 1bande

i hover around 1 average, but havent played alot since because they all abandoned me lol
i just practice gathers and try to make a few points, i think that was deans suggestion

28 is my high run

im going to start going out to play with others across the city

When re-read my post, what I probably meant was, my average high series are 3-4, not my overall average. Overall average is way below that. Hehe.

My target for the rest of this year is to get consistent on "easy" (balls close together) shots: 1 bank, half table positions, direct carom. Then start practicing on gather shots, and rail nurse.

Around here in San Jose, they don't play for "fun". At least something is at stake. :) Mostly Vietnamese & Mexican players as far as I can tell.

You also changed your signature to mention Royal Pro cloth?
