Why it's worse these days

A democracy was never designed to settle fundamental differences between a population. We were always until fairly recently a people who agreed on most of the basics and the ballot box was used to decide smaller differences. We had common ground. No more.

This vast geography called America has twice as many people as before. With the rural and urban populations separated by a few more generations. To the point they no longer can relate to one another on much of anything. Colleges have taken over the culture on the coasts with secular indoctrination.

The ballot box has become not a place where differences are settled but where they are solidified. Especially in narrow elections which most of ours are. The losing side has increasingly no incentive to accept the results as the results go increasingly against virtually everything they believe in.

This is why when Trump is re elected there will be a shit storm the likes of hasn't been seen since 1860. Personally I believe it's time to divide this continent up amicably and let these two populations live their own way in peace before it's too late. Each of us can make a choice. Of course that won't/can't happen. No it's going to have to be settled the good old fashioned human way. The shooting will start and to the victors will go the spoils.

Ask him what? Why you're up so far past your bed time? Nighty night now, before you get cranky.

The "game" will have some older players who grew up using weapons.

So, there are only two populations in this whole country.......you are making a big ass assumption that there are only two.

What makes you think there will not be trouble makers in each of these separate populations?

My guns are not for pushing my beliefs on others which is what you are alluding to happen.

My guns are to prevent those from forcing there beliefs on me.....which includes the government or any population.

There is a portion of the population that just don’t give a shit about politics because they see it as the con game that it is. Anyone that trusts the government is not to be trusted. I’m part of that population.

I really don’t trust you since you only think there can only be two populations in this country, which means my guns are for people thinking like you do.

It's frickin unbelievable how much money this country spent in fighting the Cold War just to be communized from the inside.

70% tax rates were required to pay for the Cold War. The CIA never saw that the Soviet Union was dying on its feet from bankruptcy. The former Soviet Union was an economic nightmare.

They go on and on about Putin in DC but the fact is, we've become more and more like the former Soviet Union.

We have ignorant youth that are running wild in organizations like ANTIFA that want a Bolivarian Venezuelan future.

All the greatest wounds are self inflicted.

How big do you think ANTIFA is?

At LEAST as big as the New Black Panthers!

Definitely as big as them, and maybe even a little larger.

Alan 09-14-2019 12:49 PM

The actual number of participants in the violence are small, but they have a huge fan base. Besides that, there's a growing belief that free speech should be limited and if government won't do it, then the people should.
On this forum, there used to be only one who openly supported them, but that's changed.

Antifa started with the idea that they would be against fascism and do so violently. Do I care about some fascists getting slapped around? Not really, but as I figured it would, the definition of fascism has grown. On this forum, there are people that think the Republican party is fascist. Like the term "racists", "fascist" has become the go-to word to call someone when you don't agree with them.

Do they have a fan base like Antifa? No. Antifa is a brand and I'm waiting for the leaders of the Democratic party to denounce them.

The arguably wrong usage of the term 'fascist' goes back at least 50 years in this country. It is not any new phenomenon.

Its counterpart is found in the misuse of the term 'communist' and its variants, which misuse is much more common on this board than the other one.

My, another simplistic view from the Not So Great State of Cali......

You are among those that have been indoctrinated and lost sight of what takes down a country......... Divide and Conquer ........... works every time.........

Just how is it you will know when you should use your guns Duckie....?? Whom among us will tell you........??

Communism- socialism refers the the government owning the means of production.

The Green New Deal and the " Socialization " of Medicine point to classic Communism-Socialism.

Folks are ignorant of the fact that Vladimir Lenin was a " Russian Social Democrat ".

Bernie Sanders is a commie. He hides behind a screen that the credulous believe.

The Sixties violent radicals were forgiven for atrocious behavior by the academy and employed by them. Folks that were convicted of murder now work for Ivy League institutions. Folks that wanted to violently destroy the " silent majority " were employed by universities like Northwestern and U of Illinois.

Jane Fonda was made into a world wide superstar by Hollywood even though she was a communist revolutionary. Her husband Tom Hayden was arming the Black Panthers so they could be the vanguard of a violent communist revolution. Who do you think the targets of the violence were gonna be?

Herbert Marcuse the Communist used to be a professor at University of California where he fomented revolution. He mentored Angela Davis.

Van Jones was a Maoist and has his own show on CNN.

So when Sofla says the word " communism " is being misused by folks like me, I have to laugh. The fact is it's not being used enough. The philosophical provenance of the ideas are all Marxist, that folks like Bernie, Warren, AOC are using. Sofla knows this as he studied philosophy at Princeton.

Don't piss down my back and call it rain laddie. Why are you trying to mislead folks Sofla? Sofla what is the next five year plan gonna contain?

Fascism was birthed by Communism. Mussolini was a communist and so was his father. Hitler was very influenced by Marx and by Mussolini.

Hitler's greatest selling point to the German people was to erase class distinctions and provide economic upside to the proletariat.

Mussolini became a fascist because of the fact that the international brotherhood of commies sided with their own nationalities during World War One.

That was an eye opener for M. The slogan " white privilege " was used by the " Weathermen " the violent Marxist 60s and 70s radicals.

When you hear rhetoric like this it should be totally unacceptable. Commies turn everybody against each other and garner all the power.

The " free market " is not perfect but it's a hell of a lot better, then having angry nit wits in power like Bernie Sanders, who have never created any business.

The idea that communism erases " racism " is another great lie of the left. Just ask the Ukrainians and all the folks Mao murdered.
